View Full Version : Question SEC Tourney in Tampa 2009 - Are you going?
WildcatDan
06-26-2008, 02:52 PM
Who is planning on going? I am sure gas prices will keep some people away...
If you ARE planning to go, how long are you staying? Are you making a weeks worth of vacation out of it? Are you going to stay IN Tampa or try to stay somewhere else?
I am trying to figure out if we need to do anything hotel wise for the group or not...
Thanks!

Been saving my pennies for a while now. Will start checking air fares as soon as they let me. Too far in advance to check now. Plan on being there Thurs to Mon. Give or take a day. Will stay wherever. Have a cousin in Tampa but will stay where the majority of you all are. Not sure where she lives in relation to the Arena, but there is time for silly details :widcat:

Everyone needs a ticket. Even little ones. Sad, but true. :icon_rolleyes:
They'll tell you this on the telephone and on their websites, but I'm not sure how true it is. I've taken my son on many occasions to Rupp, to the Georgia Dome, and last year we took our daughter to Madison Square Garden. Each venue claims everyone has to have a ticket, but I've never been stopped once. At Madison Square Garden, we were ushered to the side and allowed to use a private elevator because my daughter was so young.
I wouldn't buy a ticket for very small children who don't need a seat. If I were stopped by the ticket vendor, I'd have a $20 ready to slip to them.
Id love to go. I have the money and resources! I'd be the only one going and I'm 18, in Tampa = trouble. If someone would be brave enough to let me drive/fly with them and keep me in check, I'd love to go!

I'm for sure going. Got a room at the HoJo about .9 miles from the St Pete's. It was only around $450 (total) for a room with two queens. It is non-refundable though. I
I have two questions for the finest fans in the land:
1) When do tickets go on sale? For that matter, how do you get good tickets?
2) How much do packages cost? I need to start saving.
That's 3 questions I know.

The books are $300 this year. UK season ticket holders can order theirs with their season ticket renewal.
You can go to secsports.com to see when they actually will be released for sale.
