Unless Dominiqe is a freak of an athlete, I think this is in the wrong thread. I doubt hes a top 20 football prospect as well as basketball :):):):):):) Itd be nice though

Oops! My bad. :shrug1:
If a Mod would be so kind as to move this to the basketball side, it would be appreciated.

Ross-Miller has to be at least a top 100 player. That is crazy. I think he'll be at least top 50 to top 30. He'll be great for us.

It appears--and this is just from reading what others have said about KC--he's not unusually quick and he doesn't have great shooting touch. That's the AAU game: contested jumpers and one-on-one slashing. If you can't do either of those things (or if you don't have great size for your position), you likely aren't going to be highly ranked.

By all accounts KC is not a great shooter, and he's not blazingly quick. Unless he works on his shot, he might never be a highly-ranked player. Rivals doesn't have a lot of cagey, smart, pure point guards who don't put up many points on their 150 lists.

None of that really matters to me, though. He's just a junior-to-be, and those rankings aren't the end-all/be-all.

I do think that Gillispie might have fallen into the Acie Law trap, where he's trying to dig out that diamond in the rough as a point guard. Of course he knows talent a lot more than I do, but if you just look through the rankings there aren't too many kids who make it big who fall outside those top 150 markers*. It happens, of course, just not that often.

* They only begin to matter for rising seniors, though. It's still a little early for Ross-Miller.

Season stats: 27 ppg. 8.3 rpg. 5.4 steals, per game. 11.8 apg.

Phenomenal stats! He was only a sophomore. Like his dad said, on his AAU team, he had Willie and Rotnei on the team. Now he's the big dog on the team, and we'll see the real KC Ross-Miller.

I don't understand how he's not top 150. Stupid. He'll be top 50 at least.

Matt, thanks for posting the stat line. Unbelievable.
Over 11 assists per game and 27 ppg. Looks like his team averaged about
74/75 points, so he had his hand directly in about two thirds of the points his team scored.
Shot 49% from the 3. Shot 89% from the line. Man. Almost a 10 to 1 assist to turnover ratio.

And this is from a relatively short (6'1) kid without blazing speed or a good
shot?????????????

I wonder if it's because of the HS competition level he is playing against?

To be absolutely honest, 89% from the line, 49% from 3, and that gaudy
10-1 assist to turnover rate tells me the young man is a player.

So Rivals is trying to tell us there are at least 100 sophmores better than Miller with that stat line!?!?:shrug1:

Justin whatever says there might be 150. Must be the best class ever. Rex Chapman might crack the top 100 :icon_rolleyes:

Unless I'm mistaken, Clarke and Warren were on Ross-Miller's AAU team, not his high school team.

I stated that incorrectly Will. My bad, God's Academy is his high school, correct?

But I'm guessing he didn't really blow up on the AAU circuit due to having Rotnei and Willie on his team. I read where his dad had said that we would see the real KC this year, due to him being the man on the team now.

I expect him to be more highly revered after the AAU stuff.

Sad thing is that you can have a stat line like that in high school and not be considered a top 100 or 150 or whatever player.

Also, thanks for the catch Will!
