It's still up in the air whether Liggins will qualify, and there's still a chance we might sign someone else for this year.
Having said that, lets assume we don't sign anyone else, and that Liggins DOES qualify.
What do you think we can expect from these 4? Who will score the most?
Who will get the most playing time?
Who, if any, will start?
Mr. Liggins:

D. Miller:

J. Harrellson:

K. Galloway:

Liggins
25 minutes per, 6 points per, 3 assists per, 4 rebounds per
Miller
22 minutes per, 5 points per, 2 assists per, 4 rebounds per
Harrellson
20 minutes per, 3 points per, 4 rebounds per, 1 block per
Galloway
13 minutes per, 2 points per, 2 assists per, 2 rebounds per
I think K. Galloway's a guy who will end up being a much bigger performer as the year goes on. Once he fits into the system, I think he'll be a guy we can count on off the bench.
I still think Liggins is the gem of the class. He's got all kinds of skill. People sort of forgot about him last season, though when he signed UK fans lauded him as the second coming of Magic Johnson. That's unfortunate, because the kid is very, very good. He will not score a lot of points, but I think both he and Miller will be staples in the line-up as the season goes along.

Liggins vs. Galloway ought to be so very interesting. It sounds like Liggins, a 5 star player (don't care that he was dropped to 26 due to his injury lol), has reportedly outstanding court vision. Couple this with great passing skills, and he has the propensity to make the big (read pretty) play. However, it sounds like this sometimes gets him in trouble, which might hurt him some with BCG. From what little video I've seen, it looks like he can make the open shot.
His maturation under BCG should be exciting, as it sounds like he has the attitude and work ethic to fit right in.
Galloway obviously brings the experience (remember he played at USC some his frosh year). I love what I've seen from his clips and particularly that one game. He was surrounded by scorers though, and it will be interesting to see how much his scoring contributions can increase when need be, such as some next season.
Miller just needs to keep working hard, and have a fire lit under his rear, particularly on the court. I expect big things during his career here. Ought to a real good player for us. Harrelson is the second most important in the group, outside of the pg situation, imo. Having somebody who can come in, rest PP, or bulk us up in the middle along side PP will be crucial. I look for him to clean the glass as much as possible, score the "garbage" points, and hit open mid-range shots. He's gotta work on his confidence, but if the facebook updates are any sign, he'll continue to bust his to help the team (I add this out of humor of recent facebook recruiting drama, which I also fell for :icon_mrgreen:).
All in all, if Liggins was qualified today, I'd be happy as could be with this class. Singleton would have been great, and I'd give anything to have added Rod Flemmings or Sally to help augment our scoring guard situation. But all in all, given the late start Coach had, I'm very satisfied with this first class.

This could be pretty accurate. I would probably switch Miller and Galloway's production up, though. I think Galloway will average more points than Miller, just because of the experience factor.
Based on the picture alone, it looks as if Kevin can score against South Carolina. But then again, who can't?:icon_mrgreen:
I can't wait until basketball season!

Don't be surprised if your starting 5 is Porter, Meeks, Patterson, Stevenson, and Coury. I hope I'm wrong and Liggins/Galloway bump Porter and/or Harrelson/Miller bump Coury.
It never fails that I get frustrated at lack of playing time for our top recruits as freshman. Maybe BCG will be a breath of fresh air.
I personally would like to see this lineup: Liggins, Meeks, Patterson, Stevenson, Miller.
The key for next year is a healthy Pat and Jodie.

I'm not sure who plays the 3 in that line-up, nor do I think there's any chance Coury beats out both Stevenson and AJ Stewart for that starting spot. Stevenson was the 6th man last year because he felt more comfortable there, but you would think he'd have enough confidence to start games--and start them well--this season. And if AJ hasn't improved enough to at least be the back-up at the 4 behind a walk-on, I'm going to be disappointed.
I think it's gonna be Liggins/Meeks/Harris/Stevenson/Patterson

I thought Coury was considering transferring.

We might be overthinking the PT thing. I imagine PP will get all he can stand, but the other minutes just could be hard to come by.
If CBG plays the belly button, go for broke defense he was trying (and finally did get) the kids to play, EVERYBODY will likely get minutes because of two reasons:
1) they're gassed from playing D
2) they pick up 2 quick fouls overguarding (or whatever the SEC refs
think)

Coury transferred.
NO chance Porter starts, let alone plays much.
BG did get playing time to our top freshmen last year - Patterson.

Did I miss something? I know Coury was considering transfer, but when did he transfer? Where to?
