Seeing a lot of pretty well thought out ideas out on the boards about how
much pt all the players will get.

I'm just going to throw this out: I think the ONLY guy that will get MAJOR
minutes (30+) will be Patterson.

Really I've only got two reasons, and both are based on the same thing:
defense.

CBG was working on his guys to play back to the wall, shut down defense last year. If your doing that, besides winning, two things are gonna happen:
1) you're gonna wear out some
2) you're gonna get called for fouls

Just those two reasons above would assure most of the kids on scholly
several minutes a game. Not including poor decision making on offense
or just trying to light a spark offensively.

Wouldn't surprise me to see several guys with fairly significant pt. I think
that this team might go a bit deeper than the 7 man rotation that a lot
of fans are predicting.

I could see:
Patterson
Stephenson
Meeks
Liggins
Galloway
Harrelson
AJ Stewart
Miller
Harris
all getting minutes, followed by Porter, Slone, perhaps even Carter getting some time.

I think Meeks will play 35 minutes a game, we need scoring and we really only have two proven guys on the team who can do that - Patterson, Meeks. Everyone else will contribute but those two will bring it every game. I also think Harris and Stevenson will play close to 30 minutes a game just based on experience with BG's gameplan and having a couple years of D1 play. Liggins and Miller will probably get 20-25 minutes a game, with Harrelson/Galloway/Stewart filling in 10-15 at certain spots. I don't see anyone else getting significant playing time.

I also think he's going to go to the bench regularly this season.

That's partly because he likes using a lot of players. But it's also because we really don't have the kinds of players--outside of Meeks and Patterson--who are going to really separate themselves from their back-ups.

I think Jodie and Patrick will be playing 30+ minutes. Beyond that, it'll be a dogfight.

I really think PP and JM(if healthy) will be the only cats to get major, major pt next year.

Talent and knowing how to play your position, not necessarily in that order, will determing playing time. BCG has already shown us that he will play less talented players first if they know the system. New guys will play according to how well they learn their jobs

With the way CBG likes to use so many players we could see players like Carter and Slone even getting playing time.

I just have to think Carter didnt stay to sit on the bench. Because he is a KY boy, I hope he eventually gets some big minutes. I have to think something will happen with him, because he couldve left.

I do think that there will be major PT for many players. Our bench will be deep enough to play a fast paced game. Meeks and PPat will lead the way with PT especially at the begining of the season, but by seasons end, when the newcomers have caught on to BCG's gameplan, it will be unusual for anyone to get more than 30 minutes. Looking forward to seeing us wear down teams and really pull away toward the end, and get some really big winning margins.

I don't see Jodie getting more than 30 min a game. actually I really hope we don't need him that much. third to Pat and Jodie in min. will be PS and Harris, unless Galloway is the real deal. Ligs and Miller will probably see less than 20-25 min each. Coury 7, Porter maybe 10. AJ will be the breakout player of the year and will see 20-25 min by feb. Harrellson maybe 10-15 (loses time to PS).

you got to remember that there's only 200 minutes to go around in a ball game. BG may not get as many out of each guy as he'd like to.

Dude theres only 40 mins of regulation play.

40 minutes per game x 5 players on the court = 200 team minutes
