IMO this situation is a win/win. I personally hope rondo goes pro and is drafted in the first round. Now, I've seen a ton of people say no team would draft him because he doesn't have a jumper. All I can say is yea RIGHT!!! How many kids have been drafted without complete games. Someone WILL take him in the 1st round.

For my post I'm assuming Rondo is gone. I think this is best for us for a couple reasons. First off, it's another first rounder coming out of our program. Secondly, I think it will make our team better. I'm not saying Bradley is the better player or point guard. But, I do feel he is the better teammate. He never argues with anyone and he's the biggest cheerleader we have. I think Bradley could be a great point guard with a little bit of work on shot selection and decision making. He's not far from being that guy. I think being a starter would help him in this area greatly. If he's a starter he won't feel he needs to prove himself each time he's on the floor. Just my thoughts........Another thing I'm reall looking forward to is seeing Derrick Jasper. If Bradley doesn't improve Jasper could be our starter by the end of the year. Ask yourself: When was the last time we had a 6'5" pass first PG with a solid jumper????? I can't remember. I'm still excited about next year with or without Rondo.

I agree with you completely. I want Rondo to do what he wants. If he wants a National Championship lets go get it. If he wants to get paid he should go get it.

I just want him to enjoy what he is doing. I am very excited to see that we will create some matchup problems for teams next year.

Nicely said, tauzreborn. Same here.

Reading an article on the front page, I'm not sure Rajon himself knows what he wants. Rondo was saying after the game that he would probably be back. I think that is what he wants with his heart. His mentor, Coach Bibby, said Rondo was just still thinking about the loss to UCONN, that he had really wanted to win a national chmapionship. Bibby said, though, that Rondo does not need to make an "emotional decision." With guidance, I suspect Rondo will end up making the decision with his head. I, too, want him to enjoy what he is doing. Personally, I don't think Rajon enjoyed our losses and our hopes for a national championship dimimish this past season.

In regard to Ramel Bradley, I LOVE his enthusiasm. However, I know Tubby (who also loves Ramel's energy and enthusiasm)has not loved some of Ramel's choices, both on and off the court. Ironically, while I personally prefer more emotion, sometimes Rondo's more stoic personality was right for the situation. I know it was reported that all Rajon's teammates (including Ramel)were jumping enthusiastically upon him when he had hit the shot to take the lead in the USC game in the last few seconds. It was Rajon who stoically stopped them and reminded them that the game was NOT YET OVER! So, while I did not think that Rajon Rondo was a good leader, I guess I'm saying I'm not convinced Ramel Bradley would be a good leader at the point, either.

After reading Bibby's comments today, though, I think Rajon Rondo is gone. Here's hoping Derrick Jasper is a leader. FWIW, with Chuck Hayes as the definitive leader on the team Rajon led UK pretty well from the point guard in the 2004/2005 season.

I'd love to see Bradley come in and take over point, if Rondo does leave. But that's if Tubby finally lets Bradley play. He's got a lot of spirit and wears the jersey with pride. Remember last year in the tournement when he got all up in Bogut's face. Bogut didn't know what to do. Now that was an overrated player.

I would like to have him back for one more year myself. I think he could use another year but if I were him I would take the money and run.

Dude is almost averaging a double-double in the NBA. If that is overated, what is good?

never underestimate the power of a mother's voice....i obviously have no first hand knowledge but i have read from folks that Rondo's mother wants him to stay 4 years....i hope he stays...this team is better with him....for the folks who want him gone and say we will be better off....you have got to be kidding!!!! how can we be better off without a NBA caliber guard...it's not like this team is oozing with NBA talent..he will only get better with more work on his jump shot and practice..i just hope he decided to work on it in college....but the young man has to do what is best for him in the long run..if he does leave..i thank him for the memories and wish him the best..as I do each and every young man who decides to wear the UK jersey

Rondo is the best player on the team, period. We should all hope that he returns if we think this team is going to go deeper in the tournament next season.

I don't buy for a second that anyone is a better teammate on the squad, he wants to win as much, if not more, than any player I've seen in quite sometime. I do think the poor junior and senior class that we had this season hurt the guy as it put too much pressure on the sophomore but I think that he recognized this and was performing much better by the end of the season.

If he decides to bolt to the NBA, I wish him nothing but luck. I don't want him to come back if his heart isn't into it... but for my selfish reasons, I hope that he wants to stay in Lexington as much as I want to watch him play.
