I love all the commitments but are they all really one star with the exception of the one QB?

John, I just hooked your link and I think there may be an error...everyone is coming to UK :shrug1:Sorry, I received an email from scout and clicked on the link and it took me to the page of all the commitments - at that time, that was the only place that showed where Bean had committed - Scout hadn't even run an article yet.

Per Rivals; (6) of these commitments are three stars and the rest are yet to be rated, hence a (1) Star. Since 2004 (Woodyard's class) we have had no more than (13) Rivals rated three star or higher signed recruits in any single year. Six *** commitments by July 1st, I say not too bad.
We are in on many, many great players. Sit back wait, and maybe enjoy.

It will be a testiment to the dedication of this staff and the direction of this program if we can get them to commit early on and then keep them until they sign.
I assume Bean is a 3* kid then, cuz I know both the Walker boys are but this doesnt show them as such.

The news reported this kid as a 1 star recruit, but that makes no sense to me at all. . . He's a 6'2 receiver that reportedly runs a 4.4.
One star is given to those that have not been evaluated for a rating.
Just to re-emphasize. There are only 3000 or so kids signed by Division 1 schools yearly. The top 750 are three star or above, meaning 3 star kids are rated in the top 25% of their class. We are beginning to see the fruits of our recent success.

Just another reason to give props to the staff. How many of the un-evaluated kids have we picked up and turned into solid D-1 SEC players? Seems like a bunch from what I know.

Justin Bean knows a little about the University of Kentucky's football team but a lot less about the Wildcats' storied basketball program.
"They've won a few national championships, I think," he said.
Kentucky fans will likely forgive Bean for his lack of Big Blue hoops history when he starts catching passes for the Wildcats' football team in 2009.
Bean, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound senior wide receiver for Tupelo High School, committed to UK earlier this month. The Wildcats made the scholarship offer after watching Bean perform in spring practice and on film.
"They loved him," Golden Wave coach Eric Collins said. "Justin's got exceptional speed, great hands and runs great routes. He's also developed into a leader."
Bean said UK seems to be a perfect fit for his skills.
"They pass the ball and they have a good offense," he noted.

Thanks for the article.
Reading about his bad hamstring injury, is that something likely/unlikely to reoccur? My image, right or wrong, is that once that thing is hurt it's more likely to be reinjured than if one has never had such an injury. Anyone know the answer to that?
