Marlon Brown (sp) is the Football/Basketball guy right? I thought we had a good chance at him cuz of basketball but recently we are the only ones on his list not at "medium" per Rivals.

What gives?

The staff didn't pursue him.

This news will, of course, be following by a chorus of second guessing.

My own thoughts on similar matters are:

1) The staff is much better at determining who they want than I and

2) I personally would much rather have a team full of humble, hard-working three stars than those more physically gifted that take their skills and situation for granted.

Although I understand your point and agree with having a hard working team is better than talented lazy team, I really thought this kid would be a Cat. :icon_confused:

Well, I do not know if the staff pursued him or not, and I have no reason to doubt RV. As we all know, he is always dead on accurate with his reports.

But, in any case, be it lack of interest on our part or on Brown's part, it is pretty clear from our recent offers to and verbals from a number of WRs that the staff knew he was not coming.
