How many of the top 60 ranked juniors in the country don’t start for their high school?

It’s not for certain, but probably just one -- Simeon’s Brandon Spearman Recently moved all the way up to No. 56 in the nation by Rivals.com, Spearman may be one of the hottest commodities elsewhere , but after transferring this summer he’s still working to prove himself worthy of a spot in Simeon’s starting lineup.

Simeon's Brandon Spearman, who transferred from Hales Franciscan, has an offer from Baylor and is scheduled to attend that school's midnight madness event in October. According to chicagohoops.com, the 6-foot-3-inch junior also has offers from Iowa State and Valparaiso.

Brandon Spearman likes the University of Dayton — a lot — but he’s not ready to squeeze the trigger.

Although the 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard from Chicago Simeon High School knows the Flyers have verbal commitments from two backcourt players and have room for just one more in the 2010 class (seniors), he plans to wait until the AAU season ends in late July to make a decision.
