Vaught's Views: Simpson likes Smith

If there's one edge Kentucky could have in its recruitment of Henry Clay center Sam Simpson, it could be assistant coach Chuck Smith.


Even though Smith coaches linebackers at Kentucky and would not be Smith's position coach, the two have a special bond that started long before the Wildcats began to recruit Simpson.

I also heard Larry Vaught talking about this fine center and the connection to Coach Chuck Smith. I'm :5x:5x on Sam's becoming a Cat, for sure. Also, hopefully Sam will realize there are LOTS OF good people in Lexington, KENTUCKY, too, especially on the coaching staff and football team, where it will matter the most. :)
