The biggest news of the day had to come from Frisco, Texas QB Ryan Mossakowski and his narrowing of schools down to a foursome that included the Cats. Mossakowski is ranked as the 5th best Pro Style QB by Rivals and is a 4-star player. If you judge only the fact that Kentucky finds itself in a final group with Auburn, Nick $aban and Texas A&M, you have to have a lot of pride in how far Kentucky’s recruiting has come in the past few years. And if that still doesn’t do it for you, then realize that the teams he eliminated this week included Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, Oregon, Clemson and Louisville. Good times. If UK can land a commitment from Mossakowski or Carmel, Ind. QB Morgan Newton, then Joker Phillips’ could guarantee himself quite the potent offense his first year on the job (whenever that may be).

I had a voicemail tonight from Ryan’s coach so we should have an interview up later tonight or Thursday with some more info. I really just want to know if he intentionally narrowed his list to the four schools with the hottest girls or if that was a coincidence. I know you were wondering too.

We are being noticed, and it's only a matter of time before we start signing the higher rated athletes.

I heard a report from Auburn that said Tony Franklin (Auburn's new OC) was spending a lot of time with Mossakowaski while he was on campus for his visit. The top two QB's at Auburn are a soph and a Junior, so they are both young. Kody Burns is AU's QB of the future.

If he looks at Alabama, he may see what happened to Nick Fanuzzi ..... burned a redshirt year for 3 plays where he handed off to the RB. Plus, Nick Saban has already started recruiting over the QB's in waiting at Bama.

Texas A&M has a new head coach who has NFL experience.

It will be a tough battle for his services.

The fact he scratched Colorado from his list will give me good happy hour material ;)

One of his teammates, an Off. lineman, is committed to AU. I think we all have a legit shot at getting him just as everyone else on that list.

But it is nice to be in recruiting battles with the likes of those schools instead of MTSU, Memphis, Cincy, etc.

Frisco Centennial quarterback Ryan Mossakowski said Monday he has narrowed his choices to Alabama, Texas A&M and Kentucky. He eliminated Auburn from his list last week. Mossakowski, the state's 13th-ranked recruit according to Rivals.com, said he wants to make his decision before Centennial's season-opener Aug. 29 at Denton.

Guess we'll know pretty soon if UK lands a big one. Also with an early commit from him, the ball might get rolling on a huge recruiting season.

I know this is very premature, but if we should get a commitment from Mossakowski, I would imagine we'll back off Morgan Newton, or Newton may drop us from his list. I wouldn't think they'd both be interested in attending the same school.

Thanks, BOURBON TOWN. Too, I'm suspecting the staff accepts whoever commits first, Mossakowski or Newton. Let's just hope one of them does just that! :icon_biggrin: :5x
