This kid is a freak of nature when it comes to athletic ability. I remember reading somewhere that his father was quoted saying he would return to Ky this fall.

The last I heard, that was his intentions. He played jc basketball. I think he may be planning on going to summer school at jc before returning to Lex., not sure about that though.

While I don't really know anything about the situation, I, too, suspect Dewalt may still need to go to summer school before being able to return to UK. It would surely benicefor him to beable to return, and for McCutchan to get that sixth year of eligibility granted. It would also be nice if someone really knew somethingabout either situation and could share it here. :)

Well, I'm certainly not in the know so to speak. What I remember, however, is that he would not have to go to summer school to return to UK. IE he doesn't need to graduate from JC. He will have enough hours to be re-instated at UK based on completing this semesters work. However, he could not go to a different school without completing his JC work. He is simply a student who would be re-instated at UK not a JC transfer. As i said, this is how I remember the situation.

Kybuc you asked for it and here it is. There's a lengthy article in today's H-L on Dewalt. In a nutshell, he will be attending summer school and fully intends to return to UK this fall. He states there's no other place he'd rather be. By the way, he's bulked up to 230 lbs.

Sounds like LD is going all out & has changed his thinking & ways. If so, great for him whether he helps UK or not. Love to see kids grow up like this.
Also comments on McCutchan that UK expects to learn about him shortly - like for Spring Practice.

WoW! What timing! Great article. Glad to see the kid from my alma mater getting his life turned around.
Already making plans here on a visit to Lex for a Sept football game and tailgate.
Getting pumped up already!

Sounds like he's well on his way back. The kid is just superhuman in his hops.
I still say we need Shagari Alleyne out there blocking kicks! ;)

There will be real openings at WR this year. I would suspect that only Burton has locked down a position. With Burton sitting most of spring practice, perhaps one of the other WRs will step up. The problems is that Ford is also on the mend. We need to get healthy!

AMEN, Caveman. Too, the wide receiver position is definitely my greatest concern for this team.
