According to a post by a respected poster with inside info on another site, Liggins to be cleared to play next week. TIFWIW, but from other things I have read this one the info appears pretty solid. Sure hope so.

Just wanted to post here that I added the prefix as rumor. Not saying this won't happen, but just to allow people to realize it's what that poster is hearing, and that freethrow has simply passed that on.

The only purpose is to help keep people from being let down, should it not happen.

Also, :5x:5x

Understood. The main post I read, probably a few of you did as well, was made by a site admin. Also said that the original mystery 08 recruit looked as though it would not pan out for him but that there may yet be another 08 kid signed??

Gillispie has had a ton of things happen since he got here (Patterson injury, Meeks injury, Jasper injured and then leaves etc.), I hope this bad luck streak ends and Galloway and Liggins can play.

Coach deserves some good things to happen.

I agree 1000% and then some, John. 5 Wildcat family deaths, Legion, Mills situation, continued Tipton bs, and too many injuries to count.....He's gotta catch a break sometime! WAY past due.

On top of all this, the media and Espn bashing Gillispie for recruitng younger players while praising Donavon for his tactics.Tornado at the SEC tournament. The list goes on and on.

The old saying goes that it will get worse before it gets better. Gillispie and our program has been through enough. It's time for our program to get back to elite status.

Thanks for sharing, freethrow. Too, Larry Vaught just shared on the WLAP show that someone at the convention in Ohio yesterday (and I missed a sentence, but I think it was Alvin Brooks, UK's Director of Basketball Operations) had confidently commented that Liggins and Galloway will be playing.

Like WildcatDan, though, I will continue to keep my fingers crossed :5x, as it's still not official. Do I feel MUCH better? You betcha.

What will we have to talk about if Liggins and Galloway qualify?

We'll find someone that WE think is better and bellyache because BCG didn't get them.

We're UK fans, it's what we do.

I feel bad. I forgot about the tornado. What would have happened at the tournament if that didn't happen.

Back on subject, I liked BCG's statement that he hasn't signed someone yet who hasn't qualified.

And what a beautiful thing it is to be a UK fan.

I sure hope it is true. Was there any word on Galloway's status? Who is the 08 kid? Keeping my :5x.

At this point, while I enjoy seeing new kids coming our way, I just don't think we're going to end up with any show stoppers at this point.

I think if we get liggin's & Galloway both qualified with the rest of the field ummmm nothing would really surprise me. I do think if that happens we will be energized and our play will follow. I sense the right kinda mesh here for some reason esp- if those two qualify.

Good time to be a fan. Having new faces come in that will be able to help the team right away is all good.

Galloway: even if its not directing the team but directing the secondary break for the 3 spot when he is in the game.

Same for Miller from the 2 or 3 spot.

Harrelson: being able to step out ala Mark Pope and hit the outside shot to open up things for Patterson / Stevenson / Carter (right) / Stewart / Harris / Miller / Liggins / Galloway and so on with the drive and dish or the finish.

I think Krebs will be used in some situations with the right people on the floor to be the next Cameron Mills. Hit the timely outside shot.

Will be an extremely fun year.

Liggins: Sorry for leaving out Liggins. He will open the floor for everyone. If you are a Wildcat and on the court, you better have eyes in the back of your head. He will get you the ball.

Few at WildcatsThunder is who the OP was referring too. He took alot of heat for it but it looks like he was right.

Matt May at TCP says he is good. So does Matt Jones.

Anyone hear anything about Liggins yet? I don't think there will be a formal announcement so if and when he qualifies we'll all have to find out through the grapevine.

I was kinda thinking the same thing because the University probably does not want to bring this issue to the front. But the grapevine is fairly efficient.

You can rest assured as soon as a decision is made, it'll be on here.

I'm getting ready to say it's a done deal. Coach has said he thinks it's good. Director of BBall operations said the same. Kid has been practicing
in the pu games. He's enrolled at school, far as I can tell.

I'm more and more certain that there will be NO major announcement unless the youngster is ineligible.

In that case, I don't want to hear anything.

Gillespie said that both he and Galloway were enrolled in summer school.

Gillespie said that both he and Galloway were enrolled in summer school.

That's true, but being enrolled in school doesn't necessarily mean they'll be eligble to play bb this season.
