KUDOS to Jared Lorenzen

As I have posted, I had really hated that the Giants were the team to pick Andre, because of Jared's being a Giant quarterback and the unlikelihood that the Giants would keep both of them. :icon_sad: As most know, Jared was cut from the team and is hoping to be picked up by another NFL team.

In an article by Michael Grant in today's CJ, Jared had been asked if it was "hard" that he had been replaced by a fellow Kentucky Wildcat quarterback. Jared answered as follows:

"I love Andre. I've tried to help him out as much as I possibly can. God love him. I hope for the best for him."

Last year, or maybe the one before, Jared moved from the #4 quarterback for the Giants to #2. He is a real NFL talent and I hope this is a great opportunity for him to show his talent. He's got a rocket arm, he can run and he is durable. Watch him closely.

Just gotta think Jared ends up playing somewhere. I can think of a few teams that could use him. I sure hope so as he is one of my all time favorites.

Any word on Jared's weight? 280? 290? If he could just lose and keep off about 30 or more, he would be a starter. All that weight is hard on knees (although the guy has always been built like a truck, even that kind of weight is gonna cause concern for a coach).

I was a huge fan of JLo in high school and was at the tragic Mud Bowl (my son played for CovCath -- don't ask, he rode the wood...:icon_biggrin:).

Thanks for the link. Too, as I said on another thread, I am THRILLED that Jared is getting a chance with the Colts. It's also neat that Jared will be reunited with Jacob Tamme. :)
