Associated Press July 24, 2008

After a series of whirlwind negotiations, the Indianapolis Colts (http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080724/SPORTS/807240472#) reached agreements yesterday on four-year deals with six of their draft picks, including former University of Kentucky tight end Jacob Tamme, their fourth-round selection. Financial terms weren't released.

Tamme is expected to make an immediate contribution because the Colts lost free agent Ben Utecht to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Known more as a receiver than a blocker at UK, Tamme said he studied the Colts' offense in college but understands he needs to learn the details and get comfortable in their trademark no-huddle attack quickly.

"He's ready to get to work, the team is eager to have him and the Colts were very fair," said Bill Johnson, Tamme's agent.

Way to go Tamme and J-Lo, youve given this Giants fan something to cheer for when they black out the other games besides the Colts.

I met a guy at the beach awhile back that was very good friends with Jacob. Sounds like a good kid, should have a decent career in the pros.

Doesn't have JL in top 4 QB's. Yep, a mistake all right.

Go get'em Jacob! The Colts use a lot of 2 tight end sets and Jacob should benefit. He'll see the field a bunch this year.

No doubt in my mind Jacob will study hard and get it done. I am so proud. :)

No doubt here, either, bleedbluelady. Also, I, too, am "so proud" of Jacob. :)
