The University of Kentucky football team placed three players on the pre-season All-Southeastern Conference squads Friday that were chosen by the league's media.
Offensive lineman Garry Williams, defensive back Trevard Lindley and defensive lineman Jeremy Jarmon were the only Cats honored, all as members of the second team. Teams were announced on the final day of the annual SEC Media Days. All three Wildcats also were named to the second team by the league's coaches earlier this week, along with linebacker Braxton Kelley.
The SEC media voted Kentucky to finish fifth in the league's Eastern Division this season, behind Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina. Kentucky finished 8-5 last season, including a Music City Bowl victory over Florida State, but the Wildcats lost several key players to the NFL, including record-setting quarterback Andre Woodson.
