Hello everyone, I just want to write you guys and thank you for all the blessings that you sent out to my family and I while my brother has been ill. You guys just dont know how special that was to me when I looked on here and saw that someone had started a thread about the problems that I am going through and you guy sent prayers. I just want to let each and everyone of you know that I love you and Im glad to know that you guys care for us more than just football players. I guess thats why we have to best family(fans) in college sports.

Sincerely,
DeMoreo Ford

Such a simple thing, prayer is the most powerful thing. May God bless you and your family in these trying times.

Moreo, I don't usually get too emotional but I am a little choked up after reading your message.

I went to the LaGrange Grangers webb site and saw the wonderful tribute to Kendall saying that without him you guys probably would not have won the state championship in 2001. As their message asked, we are all praying every day for him to get better, for your mom to have her trouble eased and for you to keep up the strength that we all know you have.

DeMoreo, it was and is our privilege to lift up your brother and your family in prayer. We know this is a difficult time for you and we want you to know that you have our unfailing support. We appreciate your efforts on the football field, both those in the past and those in the future. It's because of the efforts of you and your teammates that UK football is on the rise and getting national notice once again.

Give our best to your family and God bless.

Sometimes, during the most difficult times, we realize the world is a little smaller than we once thought.....and we also realize there are more friends, and fewer strangers, than before. Although many of us have never met face to face, many of us have offered prayers and support to each other in times of need. That is one thing that makes WCN special. You and your family will remain in our thoughts and prayers.

You're more than welcome. And thank you.
Football, no matter how important we all believe it is, is a game, or perhaps for a few a short career.
Life has a lot more than that in it.
God bless you and your family.

Thank YOU for taking the time to send this note. It is indeed my/our pleasure to support you and your family thru this. You have been a great inspiration to Mitchell and other young men with your time. I will continue to keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. See you soon.

Moreo, you know we all love you and your family. Your Mom told me once that everytime you walk up after a game that I look and smile like a "proud papa". You are truly a class act and Kendall is also a fine young man. While you are certainly a great football player you are even a better person. You, your family and Kendall will continue to be in our prayers and thoughts. Take care of yourself and thanks for taking time to post this thread.

WCNers, I spoke with Moreo this afternoon for quite a while. He said Kendall has shown some improvement over the last few days. Moreo is back in Lexington and sounded good considering the circumstances. I cant begin to tell you guys how good it was to hear his voice.

Thanks for sharing, WildcatRick. Too, I can surely understand how you must have felt hearing DeMoreo's voice. I think we all need to hear that voice and express our concern (and maybe we WCN gals will get to do that next Saturday at the women's clinic).

Thanks, most of all, to DeMoreo for coming here and writing the beautiful "thank you" message. UedK mentioned his choking up. I'm sure no one is surprised that my eyes filled with tears as I read the appreciative, loving words about our prayers and concern. :icon_cry:

Thank you, DeMoreo. We love you and continue to pray each day for your brother Kendall, you, and all of the family. Too, yes, thankfully, so many here care MUCH more about you UK players than as football players (and, of course, some of us older females have those "motherly" cares :)). You are all young men who have famililies and lives outside football, meanwhile giving so much of your time for the UK football program we love.

In fact, what matters MOST is those lives outside football. May God bless you with good health this season AND the happiness you, as such a special young man, deserve off the field. Again, thank you, and bless your heart for your post, DeMoreo.
