Hello Ladies,

I came upon this poll called "Rules For Husbands?" I thought some of you might be interested in taking part and to see what others think. Maybe not, but here is the link.
There are a whole bunch of other poll's at this site also.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm having a hard time gettingpast the first question. :? I think in most married households, the men have the last say in certain things and the women have the last say inother things, but most decisions are, if not a compromise a "I'll pick my battles wisely" decision. :?

I had difficulty completing the poll, I kept having to stop and bring my blood pressure back down to normal:X.

Just an opinion poll I realize, but are there men who really operate this way(male in charge, submissive spouse?)

Yes, I work with some ladies from a certain denomination that believe this. They were even talking the other day thatpart of the relief problem in NO was because the governor was a woman! Women had no place in politics because God made them to be weaker:shock:Trust me, it took everything I had to keep from saying something. I just walked away from that conversation. made me feel like I had stepped back about 100 years! Some of the other things they have descussed and believe really make me scratch my head in wonder.:rolleyes:

I ALWAYS get the last word at my house. I say, "Yes Ma'am".

I may be the king of my castle but it came with a fire breathing dragon named Julie. LOL.

I think any relationship where EITHER one dominates is doomed...people are individuals for a reason! True that this typr of relationship may continue for years or even lifetimes, but not as a healthy loving relationship. I've heard the biblical arguments of the 'woman's role' from some of the people who argue that women should be submissive and the man dominate...but what invariably people leave out of that argument is the next part of that book that describes the man's role...the one of love and caring for the woman as if she were a member of his own body...and anyone who truly loves another person doesn't want to control them. The man as head of the home part of that story is followed by 'just as Christ is head of the church'...and isn't God all about free will? If He wanted to control us he could...but He doesn't...He let's us choose.I believe that what those whole, often twisted passages are getting at is mutual respect and being your mate's completer...not their controller. Sorry for the paraphrasing...must admit that memorizing verses word for word has never been one of my strong points.

"Whatever"..."Whatever" works too lol ........but its funny how when you ask something and get the whatever and yes dearresponse......then you go ahead and do whatever .....there seems to be a memory lapse of having said it....lol :P;)
