Good news. Love to see him doing well. He may have a tougher time this year. Looks like they have faith in him. Good move on Arkansas' part.

Don't know that he deserved it, and it could be argued that he underachieved last season. Still, I think he'll have some success there, so good for him.

Wasn't last season his first at Ark. and, if so, isn't it unusual to give a coach an ext. after only one season on the job?

Congrats to Pelphrey. I would imagine that he will get another raise before too long due to the recruits he is landing. I read today that Trent and AJ Walton are looking very hard at Arkansas. Of course, he will have to win with those he lands but I expect he will.

Why did they fire Stan Heath, again?

I am thinking Pelphrey will never see the last years of his contract, he'll be sent down the road. Hope not, but I don't have much faith in him. Good for him to get his shot, though. Can't ask for better than that.

Here is the article on ESPN.com about his ouster.

If he can make Arkansas a contender for the NCAA's this season, he will have earned it.

He's really moved up in coaching quick and I kinda think Arkansas made a mistake and should've waited to figure out how he could do in years and not just one
