I remember the days when UK fans scoffed at the notion any team in the SEC was in the same league as UK. Are you now secretly purchasing Gator Gear?

No. I think we will be happy that, if nothing else, the SEC will get some respect. I am never happy if another team wins a championship.

I know a heck of a lot of Gator fans and all have tremendous respect for Kentucky. They always have and always will. Gators would love to win a championship and if they are fortunate enough to do so, they will still have the deepest respect for the Wildcats and their basketball program, including the fans. We all understand Kentucky has the most knowledgeable fans in the world.

The SEC is a family like no other conference. We fight among ourself but don't need an outsider speculating on what we will or will not do if our brother wins it all.

I don't believe I have made a single post about the Big East's greatness. It is a very tough conference that we failed miserably in our inaugural debut. It doesn't feel enough like home yet for me to rave about it.

I made this post because it seems like many of you are not living up to traditional UK standards of arrogance. I know Noknee has irritated you to no end, his needlings must have hit home a few times. I never thought I would see the day when so many Uk fans would take up other SEC school's banners though.

Yes, I picked Florida to win my tourney bracket on Foxsports. I am currently 19th out of 95 in my group. If I hadn't picked Iowa to be a surprise runner-up ( I thought Alford would pull a miracle to land the IU job) I would probably be winning the thing. I guess I out thought myself on that one. I don't have any room for Gator gear in my closet, it would clash with all the Ul and IU stuff really badly.

Yuleofell, I don't think there's much question that the Big East, right now, is the toughest conference. Further, UofL will eventually benefit from being there.

However, I don't think Ricky expected he'd have to struggle just to get in the conference tourney in your first year; calls to mind the old saying, "Be careful what you wish for, you might get it."

I've got Florida beating LSU for the championship game over on the Rivals.com board. As of last night I was 14th out of a at least a thousand. If the gators win it could put me over the top, no one else with a shot picked them. The UCONN loss is nutral, everyone had UCONN in the FF.

Aside from all the BS, I'm looking forward to the UL/SC game Tuesday. I just love watching college bball.

Dude it doesn't matter what happens. Yes, I want Nova to win, but regardless of what happens, we still sent more teams, had FOUR in the Sweet 16 to your TWO, and two in the Elite Eight to your two. Even if a $EC wins the Championship you will still be a fourth rate conference, and we will still be on top. Understand how that works???

For gosh sakes, Yuleofell, if you would READ every thread occasionally, you would see there have been several times where we UK fans dropped the smack stuff and acknowledged how tough the Big East is. No one expected you guys to set the world on fire in your first season in the league..Some of you Card fans might have (and please note I said SOME, not all), but not UK fans. The only reason we even mention it is because of this tired drum you guys keep beating about how the SEC is a nothing conference, which is completely asinine and you all know it. What did you expect us to do on OUR board? Let you all come in hear and not say a word? C'mon!

And, If you paid any attention at all to UK fans, you know that 99,9% of us ALWAYS root for SEC teams in the tournament when the 'Cats aren't playing them or when UK has been eliminated. There's nothing unusual about that at all..the only ones who try and make something out of it are you Cardinal fans on this board. The difference is UK fans root for the SEC because we're loyal to our conference. If what I read on this smack board is any indication (and no, I don't think it is), we can only ascertain that the only reason you guys pull for the Big East is to brag on the ranking of the most recent team you lost to.

I know this is a smack board and I can understand you defending your team, but some of this stuff you guys pull out of thin air is just plain stupid.
