It's a travesty. The Big East still has an automatic BCS birth. They might not have a single team in the top 40 at the end of the season yet they get a BCS bowl. That is just not right.

And again, I'll refer you to the ACC. The league that hasn't won a BCS bowl in 8 years.

Actually 2 or 3 ACC teams would finish in the top 4 of the Big Least. Mostly from Florida. Miami would likely run the table. FSU too. You have to remember that Clemson and Miami were beaten by SEC teams. That is tp be expected. The SEC should be considered a NFL Bowl sub-Division...and the rest of the conf's College Bowl sub-division teams.
Don't try to use the SEC to judge other teams...its just not fair.

Actually both leagues are atrocious this year. Wake Forest (consensus ACC #1) barely eeked out a win at home against SEC bottom feeder Ole Miss. West Virginia (best the big least has to offer) got killed by EAST Carolina. The eventual "champions" of both leagues should be forced to play in the Poinsettia Bowl, and give the two BCS slots to teams from the SEC or Big 12, who would have actually earned them.

Yeah, it is a travesty the Big East still gets a big cut of that BCS money. Just like Uk gets a big cut of that SEC television money for doing nothing.
the wheel turns. The Big East is down this year, but may be up next year. Like it or not, you have to have at least 60 schools involved in the BCS or it will simply get voted out of existence. Then you will be back to the old days.

It really doesn't matter how up or down the big least or acc is. The only suspense is, which SEC team will be the NC.

And that is a bad thing? I do not like the way the NC is set up and wish they would do away with the current system. I think a playoff system is the way it should be done. I don't remember where I read it, but someone came up with a plan to still use the current bowl games and still have a playoff system.

Georgia. I just don't want the Gators to win it. Mark Richt has alot more class than Urban Meyer.

Definitely. I couldn't stand being bombarded with more pompous do-gooder stories about St. Tebow.

I have always been mystified by the whole conference pride thing. I imagine Ohio State like s the Big 10, but I doubt that they really have a parade in Colombus when Michigan wins a bowl game. here in Lexington if i did not know any better you would think that the SEC is a team the way people refer more to the conference tougness that the Cats.

I'm right there with you. Don't know if I've ever rooted for another SEC school.

I think it is more of a look what my team has to deal with. You don't what to have to defend your record like Memphis did last year in BB because they played in Conference USA.
