Thought I would let you guys know that Jacob is doing well after his shoulder surgeries and as you know will miss out of spring practice. It was relayed to me that there is A LOT of excitement around the program right now and the players are very excited about next season. Alas, Jacob's spring will consist mostly of running.

Thanks for the update Classof93. Here's hoping Jacob can come out strong for two a days. I'm not making any predictions, but I feel there's a lot of excitement building among many of the fans as well.

With not a lot of experience coming back at WR and with the signings of Goode and Drake, any chance Tamme moves back to wideout or at least is moved around

Probably depends on how others fair in Spring practice. Not being discussed as far as the family knows.

I think Jacob can be a real talent at TE. Here is hoping he does not move.

Is Tamme able to weight train his lower body as his shoulders mend? When will be be able to get back into the weight room for his upper body (beyond the PT work)?

update: there is no talk of moving Jacob back to WR. Couldn't get any info regarding Tammes upper body workouts. BTW, Jacob is reportedly set to graduate this summer (that's three years folks!) So he is already considering his graduate work area for the next two years (Begley and Tamme make this Rebel fan proud!)

An athlete's graduating in three years always impresses me, Classof93. Too, Begley and Tamme should make you proud! ;)

By the way, I was fortunate to meet Jacob at a Caravan stop. He surely seemed like a nice young man. I know Taylor Begley was an outstanding student and was also most impressive on Coach Brooks' televised show last season.

will we get any production out of the TE spot?

Did I correctly hear that Jacob Tamme is pre-season 1st Team all-SEC?

Correct. And Little and Woodyard only made 2nd team. Go figure.

Jacob would have had a much bigger year last year if our receiving corp wasn't decimated by injury. He was much more effective when we had a full compliment of weapons. Alas, right now next year doesn't look much better in terms of our receivers. If we can't get some players to step up then Jacob will be double teamed all afternoon.
