Columbus High wasn't able to do it. Spencer couldn't. Banneker and Forest Park didn't, either.
Now the Northside defense has the daunting task of containing Troup running back Demetrius Goode.
Goode has rushed for 571 yards this season and will lead the unbeaten Tigers into Kinnett Stadium on Friday night to play Northside at 7:30 p.m.
"You have to know where he is on the field," Northside coach Dwight Jones said. "When he gets the ball, you have to tackle him. You have to wrap him up. He is fast, powerful and always capable of making plays."
He has made plenty of plays during the first four games, including scoring nine touchdowns.
"I got strong legs, and I just get behind my blockers," said Goode, who has scholarship offers from Mississippi, Mississppi State and Kentucky. "If they can't get past my blockers than they can't get to me."...
