Bank branch robbed...

The bank branch that is part of the same building which I work in was robbed about an hour ago... no details yet but that is a bit disturbing! Apparently no one was hurt and I have no idea how much money was taken or if there was a weapon involved. Crazy!

Wow. The news knows about as much as we do here in the building.

I work in the main mortgage servicing building on the corner of Frederica and Southtown blvd. We are right across Southtown Blvd from Walmart. Someone said (yeah, someone) that the person ran across southtown to walmart to blend in after they robbed the branch.

Sincerely, it is disturbing when someone has to resort to stealing.

Having been through 2 bank robberies....they generally aren't all that bad. Pretty nerve racking, but its over with pretty quickly...for the most part. Every now and then you get the really crazy people who wave their guns in the air, but that is pretty rare for a bank robbery.

Why would anyone think that they can get away with a crime like that? I would like to see stiffer sentences for serious crimes.

I have no strong feelings about Evansville either way.... :shrug1:

My theory is that the guy is not from anywhere around here and was just passing through. He clearly was not afraid of letting his face show on the security camera.

hummm...cops nabbed a guy from Indiana last week that robbed 2 South Central Banks in Glasgow and one in Alabama...might be a cousin...;)
