Face it Card fans... you have no more ammo for talking smack about basketball the rest of the year... Let's break it down (and feel free to add if i missed anything):
- Big East vs. SEC- Well, the teams remaining in the Final Four say it all. No ACC, No Big 10, and of course, drum roll please.... NO BIG EASY.... Paper Giants... For all the hype and all the smack talk about how great the conference is, they couldn't finish the deal... The biggest and best conference turned out to be the biggest bust...From start (Louisville) to finish (UCONN)
- Kentucky vs. Louisville- All I really should have to say is 73-61, but I know that's not good enough... and nobody wants to hear about injuries, b/c it's part of the game, deal w/ it... We didn't have our starting center for half of the year, but we're not crying.... Despite both having bad years, we still made the tournament, running through (a now obvious) stronger conference... and in all reality, UL fans would have rather been in the REAL tourney this year rather than the NIT... Accept the truth... NIT=not interesting tourney (except forthose "Special fans"who want to believe it means squat)...
- And before you can bring it up AGAIN- No one cares about UL making it to the Final Four last year... nobody remembers outside of this state, b/c again Ricky P. added another L to his final four record... and yes, people remember us in 98, b/c we finished the job!
- Bringing up next year- I've heard it over and over and over again from UL fans. Wait 'till next year and we'll dominate you! Well, i've waited, and so far Ricky P. vs. Kentucky..... 2-3 (almost sound like his Final Four record)...
as of right now, UK owns UL (73-61, 2 years in a row, FACE IT), and the Big east is the little stepchild of the SEC... see ya suckers!
