As I've said many times on this forum, there are times to talk good natured smack and then there are times to stick that in neutral and acknowledge effort. IMO, now is one of those times.
Frankly, toward the end of the season I wouldn't have given a plugged nickel for the Cardinals chances of even getting INTO a tournament, much less advancing this far. However, that being said, I have to tip my hat to a group of young men that showed how much drive and determination they had, andto take the hand they were dealt and turn what could have been a disappointing end to the season and make it very respectable.
Regardless of the outcome of tonight's game, you Card fans have reason to be proud and to look forward to next season.
Good Luck tonight. :thumbup

If that's true I hope it's "the shoe bomber" we have no answer for that cat.

Thanks BB,
They way we have played away from home this year, leaves a great deal to be desired. I think we will win this game, but need as much help as we can get.

BB75 is one of those guys who makes you feel guilty for talking smack. I often think before I post something "Now, is this going to offend BB75?" Of course,I post it anyway, but there for a moment,I truly have a fleating feeling of guilt. ;)
You're a good guy BB75. :thumbup

the shoe bomber/renaldo balkman comparisons are one of the greatest things i've ever seen. someone needs to make a t-shirt. the thing USC fans don't get is that people rag on balkman only because he is not on thier team. same with noah from florida. i'd take either in blue in a second.
I am looking forward to this game. I just love watching college basketball and the game tonight, thanks to SC and UL, gives us special interest with the rivalry and conference tie ins. Heck, I am finding myself getting into some of the womens NCAA games on TV. I mean after Monday night all we have to look forward to until the fall is golf.
I do wish UL good luck but my constitution is pulling me toward the SEC and South Carolina, althoughfor my UL friends and some of the good UL folks on this board it will not kill me if the Cards take it. Ithink this game is going to go down to the wire, IMO it is about as even a matchup as you could put together. This game has much to do with pride rather than prestige and both teams can really get after it and will leave it all on the floor. I thinkthe winner of this game takes the NIT crown.
Anyway I glad the game is on and I glad that there is a reason for me to be interested.
BTW: I heard one of UL's players is down with a back injury, is this true? And if so who, and what is the downside?

Oh, and very good post BB75, I am begining to like the kinder/gentler approach. I am getting kind of worn out with all the petty, dead endBS that flys back and forth.

:thumbupThis is a very classy post and as an outsider looking in I can tell you it is not something you would find in my part of the country. Down here it is Florida v. Florida State and they don't say anything nice about each other. No matter what, no matter where. It is pure rival and hatred. 100& A Gator hates a Nole and the feeling is mutual. Gators would be makng fun of FSU even if they were in the Final Four of the NIT.Kentucky is a lot more civil than the Sunshine State.
With Tubby Smith as coach,UK fans are probably going to have a lot of poor seasons the next couple of years. For many it is nice tohave a team to fall back on and UL provides that fall back. LSU, Tennessee and a couple of more SEC schools are moving pastKentuckyin basketball.
This post represents a great attitude and is a nice post for UL fans.

What the heck are you smoking?
I thought this was a nice post from BB75 and represented most of the UK fans base. Compared to the Gators and Seminoles, UK and UL fans are like Sunday School kids. You all have a mutual admiration society unlike anything down here.
I often see posts by UK fans that if UK can't win, then they want UL to win. You would never see that in Florida when it comes to Gators and Noles. NEVER.
That's all I meant by my post, so as far as smoking I guess it wasn't Kentucky Gold.
Now that UL flamed out, I don't know what BB75 is going to do. He will have to answer that. As for me and my house, we pull for the SEC, all of the SEC when they play outside the conference. That includes Kentucky, LSU, South Carolina, Florida and on and on. Just a matter of preference for us. Nothing more.
