With all of the talk of Noah I think one Gator is being overlooked and he just might be the most valuable Gator of the bunch. Mr. Corey Brewer.

He is the perfect swingman, long and lanky. He can hit the outside shoot and handles the ball well. His game is mid-range but he can spot up and hit a3. He plays smart and knows when to give up the ball. He is sneaky quick and this give him an edge as anoffensive rebounder.

Brewer will burn you on follow ups and plays solid defense. All of the ink this week will go to Noah but don't forget Brewer. He may not say much but watch his game. He will be there when the morning comes.

Many people are forgetting he was a Mickey D and player of the year in Tennessee. The man has talent and fits Donovan's style perfect. The national press may not know much about him but his opponent better know.

I think Brewer is the straw that stirs the drink. They are a much better team when he's on the floor. Quick as a cat, he's by you before you know it and he's got great hops. I agree that he may well be what makes the Gators tick. It's either that or Captain Hook's clock. ;)

I think you are right. The reason he's being overlooked now, IMO, is because he was not overlooked coming in. In other words, Brewer will always be seen as only living up to expectations (Burger Boy in HS) while Noah is seen as exceeding expectations. That makes for more dramatic story.

Defense. That's what he brings

He's streaky offensively, but you can always count on him to be a lock-down defender. Long, quick, athletic...I wish we had someone who can do what he does. Our defense would get better immediately.

And plus, if not for Brewer, the Gators might not even be in the Final Four. His shot against Georgetown in the final seconds was unbelievable.

Must just be me, but Brewer's periodic bouts of DUH have hurt the Gators at key moments this year. In fact, if I were Billy, I'd pull him during key stretches where good decision-making is key.
