Any fans of the show......I was very dissappointed that Misty May-Treanor was forced out of the competition last night after she suffered an ankle injury
She was a pretty decent dancer

My wife and I not only watch the show, but when Emmitt Smith won, I voted for him by phone every evening. The first season I didn't watch it because the premise of the show seemed kind of campy, but being a big Cowboys fan, I started watching when I saw Emmitt was going to take part. We enjoy it. It's light viewing and a good way to relax.

We're pulling for Warren Sapp and his partner now.

And what in the name of sanity Cloris Leachman is doing on the show, at her age, is beyond me.

Yep. Warren Sapp. I actually like him better than Emmitt. I think Brook and Susan (due to the fans) might make it tough. Kim is due though because she has definitely not had the luck of the draw in partners except for Joey Fatone.

I get the vibe that (Emmitt's former partner) Cheryl doesn't really like Mo that much. Either that or she is getting burned out or wants to quit because he won't be the winner.

well because of Misty's injury no one was voted off last night
Cloris must have a ton of fans because they are keeping her on the show

I don't watch the show but I've got a few AARP friends who've recruited several dozen folks to slam the phones in support of Leachman.

Yay old, brittle folks who can still move. :icon_lol:

They did the same thing when the country music singer had to pull out due to personal issues so it wasn't a big surprise to me.

I am not sure why I bother to watch the results show because I can find it out on the net.

What?

Ya mean the old 82 YO Leachman has avoided injury and the athlete gets injured?

Huh!

You'd figger Leachman would collapse like a tinkertoy set at her age and with brittle bones.

+2 for the old folks!

well I thought that too..but Cloris is not training and doing the tough practicing that the others are doing..if you watch her she walks aroud the dance floor or crawls:icon_rolleyes:

I would, too, if I were 80+ YO.

Why break a leg just to appease the audience and boost ratings?

The judges are getting tougher on their scores
Cloris actually did very well last night

I am thinking Rocco ( the chef) will go tonight

TrueblueCATfan
10-20-2008, 06:10 PM
well another week of dancing..I wonder with Cloris falling into the bottom 2 last week will this be the week she goes home
they are doing new dances tonight

kateyes

I am ready for lance to go home.

Top 3 I would like to see in the finals: Brooke, Warren and Cody. But, I bet Susan Lucci will be in there because of fan support.

I don't quite understand why Tony is so reluctant with some of his partners. He was a champion he should know what it takes to win. Is it his choreography or his teaching method? Maybe he isn't an assertive enough teacher? Maybe Jonathan needs to come back for those celebrity dancers?

I am pulling for Warren..he is like a big teddy bear..I love his smile and I think he has improved so much since day 1
I have a soft spot for those football players..not easy for them to do this

kateyes
10-22-2008, 12:49 AM
I think it is easier on the football players than the basketball players they have placed on there. But then, they need partners who complement them in height.

Most fb players have good feet and balance. They have to run through the "tire" drill. The performance or acting aspect of the dance might be the hard part, but Emmitt, Jason and Warren have not had the performance issues. Jerry Rice didn't do that bad, either. However, we haven't seen any offensive linemen. :icon_biggrin:

WHAT?????
Cloris Leachman is still on and Toni Braxton is voted off

kateyes
10-24-2008, 12:28 AM
Cloris has a fan base--the senior vote, is entertaining and is upping her game a bit. Toni is not an actor and it takes a little bit of that to make it work. She is very bland in her dancing.

True, but I think you would be surprised by the number. What about the grandkids of the seniors who do know how? Not sure it is only the seniors that are voting. We also don't know the gap between Cloris and the next one. My guess is she will be out this coming week.

Folks calling in obviously don't recognize seasoned, accomplished talent.

Were this show on at noon, she'd win in a heart murmur...........

Veteran Soap Star Susan Lucci got the ax last night...only 5 dancers left..I am pulling for Superbowl champ Warren Sapp:thumbup:

kateyes
11-06-2008, 11:47 PM
I was ready for her to go. She looked really lost on the group dances. I think flying to and from NY did not help her any.

Cody got a raw deal when Julianne got sick. I don't know that Edyta was the right partner for him. I might have asked Ashley D. or Anna to come back for him. He was just starting to look comfortable and dancing well.

Pulling for Warren and Brooke the most. I think Warren is putting pressure on himself and he is tightening up instead of being relaxed.

kateyes
11-11-2008, 02:49 PM
So who is going? Cody or Mo or Lance? I am hoping not Cody. Cody must have a fan base with all the Hannah fans. He reminds me of my 17 yr old nephew.

TrueblueCATfan
11-11-2008, 02:57 PM
not sure..scores were pretty close last night..Cody was in the bottom 2 last week.....I really thought he would go before Susan Lucci

I am hoping Warren Sapp wins it all:thumbup:

kateyes
11-12-2008, 12:24 AM
Cody dances for another week. I wondered if the judges were keeping the score close to see who the fans picked.

Warren and Brooke will be in the finals. It is the 3rd that is the question, but it probably won't be Cody unless they have a heck of a performance and surpass Lance.

TrueblueCATfan
11-12-2008, 11:23 AM
Cody get his partner back for next week.....hated to see Maurice go because I think Cheryl is one of the best professional dancers on that show
I am still hoping for a Warren Sapp win:thumbup:

TrueblueCATfan

Cody is history..voted off last night

the finals are set now

Warren Sapp..Lance Bass and Brooke Burke

kateyes
11-21-2008, 12:52 PM
Cody gone. I was bummed. I wanted Lance gone.

Voting for Brooke because she is the best dancer. I like Warren, but he isn't the best although fun to watch. Warren needs to up his technique to beat Brooke. Lance will get the gay vote.

TrueblueCATfan
11-21-2008, 01:27 PM
as much as I hate it I think warren goes next and that wil set up the final between Lance and Brooke

Brooke will win or at least she should
