Site issues...

Mods...anyone else reported any problems with the site lately? The past week or so the site is extremely slow and there are times it won't load at all. I've tried it from 3 different computers (home, work, laptop) and every other site works fine so it's not my server or network.

I have noticed this too the last 2 days. Today it has been crawling at times when I try to click into threads. I ran a traceroute to the server, only 9 hops at 35ms. I tried a throughput test with larger packet sizes and it wasn't dropping any. So that certainly isn't the issue.

Haven't noticed a thing... but they were doing some maint. on the server the last couple of days... they were supposed to finish it up EARLY this morning. Still having issues?

Everything seems to be loading at a pretty speedy pace now. When you have a 25mbps/5mbps connection like I do, you tend to notice even the slightest of slowdowns. :big_grin:

The site has been a lot slower the last week, including today for me. Ive got a 10 meg connection. Every other site is just as fast as before.

WCN's still glitchy on my computer as of October 20th.

Much slower than normal. Sometimes I have to stop and reload to get the screen to come up.

I will try to take a look at things server side when I get a chance... I have noticed the slow down as well but have not had a free minute to dig into the guts of the server to see what is causing it.

Dan, the site is loading great today. Lightning fast for me. In the recent past, it has been slow as molasses.

I had to trim the database down to size. We were getting a bit big for our britches!

Being an owner, administrator and moderator of about a dozen boards, I can say that nothing beats a good pruning to speed things up.
