Welcome to the assembly of 'WHAT in the WORLD was that???'

Each year, there is at least one game or two I would say tear it up and throw it away.

Here we go.

UK was beaten in every category when it counted the most. No offense. No quarterback play. No receiving. No running game. Weak offensive line. The much touted and legitimately proud defense cut into pieces like swiss cheese late in the game when it counted the most. South Carollina again and again converting on third and ridiculous amounts against a D that is supposed to feature at least 3 guys that will be playing on Sunday.

This was as disappointing as much as the Alabama game gave me hope. This team that dissassembled the Wildcats is definitely NOT more talented, deeper or more experienced. Today they were just better.

Poor performance.
The players need to remember what they did wrong and fix it. Quick.
A promising season is riding on the brink.

In all seriousness.. prayers for Dicky Lyons....looks from the television that his is a career ender. (well...season ender, but a fifth year senior)

Let's see what our group of kids is made of now. Will they suck it up and fire back, or will they give it in?

Good post, Bill. I"m scratching my head over that game. There's no reason that we should lose that one.

Perplexing to say the least. There really wasnt one aspect you could put your finger on to say it was this and this only that lost this for us.

Really dissapointed as we just didnt seem ready to win, especially like was mentioned after what we saw from the Bama game.

Tough one to swallow for sure. Just leaves you shaking your head.

I just hated the effort, just seemed like they were going through the motions, like they had somewhere to be after the game, do not mind losing, but at least play with some effort.

Not that he's a big playmaker, but I believe losing Dicky today really hurt our offense more than we know. Especially from a leadership perspective.

i'd say the one thing i'd hang this loss on is 3rd down conversions. one team consistengly ran plays that had a chance to convert and did convert on many of those plays (8/17; most long yardage); the other did not (1/16; mostly short yardage).

I disagree..
3rd down conversion on Defense LOST the game as well as 2nd down on offense

We hold them 1st and 2nd down.. Actully Back them up to 3rd and 12, 3rd and 14

but they still converted with one on one coverage 6-6 Receiver against a 6-2 Corner
(THIS IS NOT A SLAM ON OUR CORNER BY THE WAY)

And we always started 2nd and 9 or 2nd and 8 ... not 2nd and 4 or 2nd and 3

We were always 3rd and 4 or 3rd and 5 and for some reason our WR would hardly ever run past the sticks, but So Carolioan always knew to at least get past the sticks.
