No help to me. If we play anywhere close to how we did today they'll both smack us.

since my office is still in nashville....yes it helps. at least they will be quiet on monday.
here's a question... how in the world is auburn still in the top 25?!?! didn't they just fire their OC...they are 2-2 in the SEC and in a fight with arkansas----ARKANSAS???---- down 25 to 20 with 1:23 to go and arkansas just stopped them on the 4 yd line!

standings-wise that doesn't help at all. it hurts us.
At some point people need to get over the hate we have for certain schools and realize what's better for the team.

not sure i understand. maybe i'm an idiot - entirely possible!
georgia wins and tennessee loses and we stay ahead of tennessee in our division and behind georgia. the game goes the other way and were one game closer to catching georgia but also one game closer to falling behind tennessee. it just does not seem that cut and dried that i, as a kentucky fan, should be for georgia winning this game. i'm open to enlightenment.
regardless, in the end, i don't see anything wrong with me personally finding a bit of silver lining, in an otherwise rainy day as a kentucky fan, knowing that on monday morning i will not have to deal with my vol fan co-workers giving me any smack. me finding peace in that one little fact makes no difference on the outcome of this season.

Auburn will fall out of the top 25 after today, no doubt.

OK then. before their game, ut had more losses in conference that uga did. it is extremely cut and dry. you pull for the team that has more losses, period. (unless...like I said, your hatred for a certain team is more important than what's actually best for UK football....then you can pull for whover you want)

You need to work on your hate for the Vols a little bit. ;)
I think that we all understand your logic, but this thread is a little more about making ourselves feel better in the light of a hated rival's misfortune.

agreed. like i said, me taking solice in not having to listen to my co-workers talking smack has NOTHING to do with the outcome of this season. i'm not happy because the vols lost. i'm happy because their fans (the ones i have to work with anyway) will be quiet on monday.
'At some point people need to get over the hate we have for certain schools and realize what's better for the team.' cfitb
at some point some people need to get over thinking that they are better fans just because they can't stop obsessing over 'what's best for the team' long enough to realize it has absolutely nothing to do with the actual outcome of the season, and it doesn't make those of us who do realize this, less a fan.
