Liquor Barn (http://www.liquorbarn.com/)at Springhurst (Westport Road @ I-265) has an excellent selection. Pricing is subject to changes of course, but for a year or so they were the cheapest place to get a 750 ml bottle of Knob Creek at $21.49. However, was there a month or so ago and it's since been raised a few dollars.
In addition, they've a good selection of microbrewed beers on tap. You can buy growlers of beer to go.
Great selection of cheeses, summer sausages, smoked sausages, soprosattas, etc.
They've got regularly scheduled wine and spirits tastings as well as beer tastings.
They've also got a walk in humidor with a decent selection of cigars.
The wine selection is expansive with numerous local wines available, Elk Creek, Talon, Smith-Berry, etc.

They also have locations at Fern Valley @ Preston Hwy, as well as Hurstbourne Lane @ I-64.

When we visited Vegas, we went in "Lee's Discount Liquors" - the place had a tremendous selection. Emily was bemoaning the lack of stores in our area with this kind variety. I told her there had to be several in the Louisville area - I just needed to ask some of my WCN friends.

We're supposed to go to Berea for Thanksgiving. Might have to visit early to stock up on holiday spirits.

Let me know if you all come to town. I usually make a stop to the Liquor Barn for the holidays after my Christmas Fund check comes. If you are here on a weekend maybe I can hook up with you all at the Barn or for coffee, lunch, etc.

Step 1 - Visit the Liquor Barn @ I-64 & Hurstbourne Ln.
Step 2 - Buy every bottle of Four Roses Single Barrel you can find - at under $20 a pop

There is no better value in the world. You can spend $50+ for better - but the cost benefit world points to 4 Roses SB as the absolute best bourbon value in the world. Love my Pappy's... Stagg... WLW... but 4R is without question the best value available - and Liquor Barn stocks it... (I can't get it in North Carolina)

Step 3: Take way more than $20/bottle, as Four Roses Single Barrel can't be touched for that price.:)
I've never found it under $30. $32 is the cheapest I've got it for. Still a good value for a great bourbon.

Standard Four Roses bourbon (plain bottle, yellow label) can be had for around $21-$22.

Ooops.

Wife corrected me on the Four Roses Single Barrel. Last bottle she picked up at Liquor Barn was $29.49.
