This is something I meant to post last week but didn't get around to it. Nothing you can't find all over the net but worthwhile anyway. Here is the updated all-time wins list, and change fromlast year.
1. UK 1926 (+22)
2.NC 1883 (+23, gained 1 game on UK)
3. KU 1873(+25, gained 3 games on UK)
4. duke1796 (+32, gained 10 games on UK)
It looks like the most likely upcoming change, if any, would be Kansas taking over the 2 spot, but that may not happen for a while, if at all. It would take a major collapse from us for NC to get close even remotely soon, and duke would have to gain 10 games a year on us for 13 straight years to reach us. AINT GONNA HAPPEN ! As confident as it sounds, I'd say that the record is ours, barring dirty Emory packages, FOREVER !

Recheck your KS number. That looks high to me. I haven't looked for a while, but I thought there was a gap behind UNC.

pretty sure it's right. Both our and KU's media guide from this season says NC and KU had 1860 and and 1848 wins before this year.

Yeah, that sounds right. It just looked high until I saw the 1848 and triggered my memory. Sorry I was too lazy to look it up.
BTW, I agree that Coach Ratface will never live to see a day that his blue satanic cult will come eye to eye with our Cats on the all-time wins list.

Just looking at all those numbers keeps me dreaming of the day we hit 2000 wins alltime. That will be a special day.
Averaging 25 games a year, we will make it by NCAA tournament time three years from now.
Averaging 28 games a year, we will make it sometime during the SEC regular season in three years.
If we go undefeated for the next few seasons, we will make it roughly December three years from now.
Looks like 09' could definetly be a great year for the wildcats.

Can we make sure it's against U of L and hopefully their Spinmeister of a coach?

Of course, ESPN and Sports Illustrated :thumbdown- official media rags of the Big Least and the ACC - probably won't report it when it happens.

As impressive as this record is, it becomes more impressive when the teams are listed with the number of games they have lost and their all time winning percentage.

I think that UNC has lost nearly or a little more than 200 more games than UK. So they've played a lot more games, but still are way behind in wins.
