All right you all have had your fun. Here is how the game really stacked up.

Balkman posterized Farley early on his first dunk. It was close to charging, but Farley was still sliding. This one play lost the game for us. The whole rest of the game our team had that glazed look in their eyes and had no confidence. Pitino pulled Farley and put in Brian Johnson. Brian is all heart and no lateral movement. USC pulled him away from the basket and then drove by him for easy points.

Dean tried to rally the team, but the referees were allowing a great deal of handchecking and tight play to occur which is not the style he plays best at.

Tello is still very slow to jump and does not elevate very high. He got his shot blocked and that was it for him, his confidence was shot.

In short, our team got punished this year by other teams that played physical outside of Freedom Hall. At home, the crowd would get the young guys to fight back. On the road, these guys just could not respond to adversity.

The real shame of it is USC has about 3 guys who are outstanding athletes, but our team had more overall talent. We need a leader and some backbone for next season. I am just not sure where that is going to come from.

lol. Great satire Yuleofell. Really good stuff. One play beat the Cards. I like that one.

Your team had the best talent ( your words) and you need a leader. Your leader is Pitino and I guess you got that right, you do need a leader. I'm not sure who that is going to be or where he/she is going to come from. Maybe some one can give us some ideas.

You could always bring Denny back or bring in Bernadette Locke-Maddox, if you are looking for another ex-Kentucky coach.

Dude, all due respect, but I watched the game with my dad, who's a HUGE UofL fan, and we both came to the same conclusion:

UofL got outhustled, outmuscled, outrebounded, outquicked, and outclassed, andUSC wanted it a lot more.

We actually were talking during the game, and my dad said "Dean's got 19??!! That's quietest 19 points I've ever seen! Balkman's got a LOUD 21."

Okay, Balkman had a great game, but USC is playing VERY well right now.

It also didn't help that J-Will had 3 fouls in the first half.

Regardless, UofL couldn't press because they couldn't stop USC from scoring, and the rebounding (from UofL's side) was horrible.

Don't blame it on one call.

Also, this game was TAME compared to the banging and physical nature of the play known for the Big East, so that's a red herring, too.

UofL got beat by a better team on a better night. Period.
