Freshman Cameron latest to leave AU

AUBURN -- Freshman Joey Cameron, the team's tallest player and only true center, says his basketball career at Auburn is over.

He plans to transfer this summer.

"It didn't work out for me at Auburn," Cameron told AuburnSports.com. "I wasn't happy with my role and the minutes I was getting. I'm not mad. I just think it's in my best interest to leave."

From what I have heard from my Auburn friends, Joey C came in with the attitude that he was guaranteed a starting position at center and never put forth the effort to earn it.

That doesn't surprise me, but most anybody over 6'7" coming into Auburn might have the impression that they have a starting position nailed down. ;)

If that was his attitude, Auburn and Lebo are probably better off without him.
