BACK FOR HIS OLD JOB
After sitting out year, Miller faces tougher competition

By Chip Cosby

"The Quiet Storm" is back.

After sitting out the 2005 football season for personal reasons, offensive lineman Aaron Miller, who picked up the aforementioned nickname for his laid-back demeanor, has returned to the University of Kentucky football program.

Things are a lot different now than before Miller left, however.

The Wildcats were so thin up front when Miller arrived in 2004 that the coaching staff had no other choice but to throw Miller, then an undersized 275-pounder, to the wolves as a true freshman.

I'll be amazed if AM isn't starting come Sept.

However, it IS a distinct possibility--even if he is back 15 lbs heavier and stronger than before. Ain't that wonderful!!!

He'll be starting. Lane will be the odd tackle out. Actually he will probally end up 3rd back on both sides.

So, you think Miller and Williams will be the starters? If Matt does not come back at center, does Trai get the start or will Gorge G. step up for that spot?

Turner is off the team. Right?

Turner is off the team.

Gonzalez isn't ready. If McCutchan is denied an extra year, look for T. Williams or possibly G. Williams to getlooks at center. With M. Jones' future uncertain, T. Williams may be needed more atguard than at center. Moving G. Williams inside would leave it to Lane, Blaylock and Hennis to fight it out for thetackle spot opposite Miller.

Like Jim said, getting MM back is very very key. If he gets his yr then everything will fall into place fine.

If not, there will be some shuffling. Even if this happens I still still one of the younger guys overtaking Lane. He has more knowledge of the offense but the yung guys are alot more physical.

Does anyone know how Turituri is doing with his rehab?
