VU makes Wright move

Is Brandan Wright seriously considering Vanderbilt, or is this weekend’s official visit simply a courtesy call to the hometown university?

At least one prep basketball analyst, Dave Telep of Scout.com, said Wright, a 6-10 standout forward at Brentwood Academy, is serious about the Commodores.

“If you’d asked me three months ago if they had a shot, I’d have said there’s no way Vanderbilt gets a visit,” Telep told VandyMania.com. “They’ve come full circle, and now they’re one of five. They’ve got their opportunity this weekend.”

Wright is considered one of the nation’s five best senior prospects. In addition to Vandy, he is considering Kentucky, Duke, Louisville and North Carolina.

I wasted many hours of my life arguing with that dude over on Wildcatfaithful. What was maddening about windy is when you disagreed with him, he never said, "I disagree," he just came back at you with statistics. Downright robotic.

His robotic (consistent and somewhat methodical) answers/arguments left a disturbing vibe to me. After reading his posts on other boards before he was banned there (I never replied or posted outside of WCF at that time), it left me wondering if he was some head case. One of my college courses explored Internet societies and people behavior and his behavior struck a chord as a troubled person. Never met the guy but I am not sure I would want to meet him. :nada:

He got banned at least a couple of times from KSR too which is why he went over to WCF and back and forth, and I have no idea how many times he has been banned from Cincinnati, Purdue, &/or Duke sites.

He still managed to have like 10,000 posts. Very strange -- makes me think of comic book guy from the Simpsons, sitting at home, wolfing down burritos, and logging like 200 posts a day, arguing about recruiting class rankings from the 80s. Yikes.

I did notice his post count and I thought was strange he posted ALL day long, every day methodically and claimed he had a job??
