Anyone notice this from the other night? They played DII Inianaopolis Greyhounds in an exhibition game. Here are the stats and see if you see what I see.....

If you can read this--check out the Personal Fouls they commit, the turnovers and the 3point shooting. Not looking too much like a top tier rated team to me.

Last year when they were ranked so high. I don't mean top tier, program-wise. I mean top tier, ranking-wise.

The vols are a overhyped and underperforming team every year and I don't think this one will be any different.

What jumps out at me is: They had ten players log at least 10 minutes of playing time each.

Yea the SEC champs is something to be happy about last year. UK was not good for the majority of the seaon and they still had a shot at it in the end of the year.

Not much worse than UT with about half as good a seed. You shouldn't talk trash when UT gets a top 3 seed the past three years and barely gets out of the first or second round.

Last year you barely made it out of the second round beating Butler by five in OT then lost to UL
06-07 lost in the third round again after barely getting by UVA by three
05-06 second round bounce by Witchita St.
04-05 You didn't even make the NCAA.

Yea you have alot to talk about on this board in basketball. Keep up your progress and you will make the final four in 6 or so more years.

On the other hand, ut won't be top-tier until they win 7 NC'S! We will win # 8 before they get close to one. Now the UT Women, that's another story.

You really think UK is closer to a NC then UT is right now? Wow, you sound like some of our blind football fans. No one is close to a NC from the SEC, but UT has the Talent to make a deep run, and then who knows what might happen.

They have had more talent the past few years and done very little with it. What makes you think after losing your best player that you have the "talent" to make a deep run? Scotty Hopson and Tyler Smith are not going to be able to do it all for you sorry.

Not having a solid point guard caught up with Vols in the tournament last year. That problem has been solved with Bobby Maze. By the way, Hopson has looked real good in the 2 exhibition games. I know that does not mean much, but he looks like he is ready to make a big difference.

Your entire point guard problem has been taken care of with the addition of one Juco PG? That is just silly. One Juco PG addition and one major scoring threat minus doesn't seem to me to mean any difference from last year in the positive at least. As you said exhibitions mean nothing about actually season production. Josh Harrelson looked like an all American in one exhibition and we all know that isn't what he is at this point.
