My wife, a UL alumn and fan just sent me this.
FOOTBALL, University of Louisville, 23 died Saturday, November 8, 2008 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Louisville was once a well-known, ranked, and respected football program. Smith and Bobby Petrino. The program is survived by Greg Brohm, Jeff Brohm, Brian Brohm, Ernest Givens, Bruce Armstrong, Browning Nagle, Alan Campos, Ted Washington, Roman Oben, David Akers, Tyrus McCloud, Sam Madison, Ray Buchannan, Chris Redman, Ibn Green, Arnold Jackson, Frank Morreau, Kerry Rhodes, Stefan LeFors, Montavious Stanley, Dewayne White, Deion Branch, Elvis Dumervil, William Gay, Jason Spitz, Michael Bush, Amobi Okoye, and Harry Douglas. Louisville Metro Police are still on the lookout for #1 murder suspect Steve Kragthorpe. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please contact LMPD.

in all reality you can't lay this one on Kragthorpe. He had to come in and clean out the scum that Petrino left and he was also hogtied with Jeff Brohm by the athletic dept. You can squarely lay this blame on Jurich.

Here is another one............
LOUISVILLE ANTHRAX SCARE
UL football practice was suspended nearly 2 hours today after a player reported finding a powder sustance on the practcie field...HC Kragthorpe suspended practice while FBI were called in to investigate..After a complete analysis .... FBI experts determined that the white sustance unknown to the players was the GOAL LINE.....Practice was resumed this afternoon after FBI decided the team would unlikely encounter the substance again

So Pittsburgh throttled us and Uk "ALMOST" won another one. I would just as soon get blown out as know that a close game means another in a long line of heart breaking losses.

You would rather get blown out by a team than stick close to a top team? That is just goofy. One way your team sucks and gets their confidence crushed the other gets your team up and gives them confidence to play the next game.

Give him a break, he's probably asphyxiated by the smell of big fat turds that are being dropped by UL every week.:icon_twisted:

CF .....I would agree 100 % with that. He is not a bad coach and he has had to clean up far more than most people know.

Aw, give it a rest, will ya? You guys smack is lame enough without coming on a UK board and acting like your bleetin' PROUD of getting your heads handed to you. UK is concentrating on running the table in our last two games and getting prepped for our THIRD bowl game in a row. You bird brains aren't even bowl eligible yet, you quite possibly might not win another game this season, by your own admission you want to fire your coach (never mind he's doing his best with the cesspool left him by Petrino..no, that's not good enough for you), and you have the unmitigated GALL to try and belittle the effort the Wildcats put forth this past weekend!
Get a life already! :icon_rolleyes:

Exactly. Cause if you don't beat a ranked Cincy team tomorrow, ain't NO WAY you beat WVU at home or win on the road at Rutgers...especially on their Senior night. Looks like five wins is all that will be for you poor birds. I guess you will look back at those close UCONN and Syracuse squeakers and lament what could have been...

(Sigh) :icon_rolleyes: Here we go again with the usual Cardinal double standard. History and statistics only count when they SEEM to favor U of L. I expected as much.
Hmmm. let's see, now. YOU can call US when:
- the Cards win 43 Big East titles to match the 43 (and counting) Sec titles that UK has won.
-The Cardinals can lay claim to being the winningest college basketball program in the history of college basketball.
-The number of Final Fours the Cards have appeared in reach double digits.
I could go on and on, but in the interest of brevity, I won't. Don't EVEN THINK about using history and statistics to talk trash about UK. You'll lose.
You ought to be more concerned about salvaging your football season. Oh, sorry, I forgot, you all are proud to lose by multiple touchdowns to a team you should have beaten handily, which came on the heels of losing to an unranked team heretofor known for being a prominent basketball school. :icon_rolleyes:

Classic UK fan response. When football arguments fail, revert to basketball.
When was the last time UK won an SEC title in football? How about a BCS bowl?
I'm not saying UofL football is better, or even on par with UK this season. I think if they played ten times, UK would win 9.5, but please don't act as if your team is top 5 and headed for a BCS bowl, when we all know that the Liberty bowl is probably the best you can do.
BTW, I wouldn't be tooting the football horn as loud as you if my team had gotten thumped by 58 points. Especially when the Defense was supposed to be a top 5 defense.

I suggest you practice what you preach in that next to last sentence, especially after that egg your bunch laid against Pittsburgh. Good gosh, Trinity High School could probably give you guys a run for your money right now.
There ya go again. You guys are so predictable it's laughable. Your team has fizzled out the last two years and it all began by losing to UK last season and you're falling back on lame put downs and getting defensive when someone reminds you of it. Yeah, we lost to Florida by a huge margin but so has practically every other team in the SEC. It was a very bad game played by the 'Cats that day, no ifs, ands, or buts. The difference is we are adult enough to admit to it and move on. All you guys have left is to act like you're bleetin' PROUD of getting your heads handed to you. I'm surprised you haven't come on this board and acted like Pittsburgh was ranked number one in the nation. Florida is, in all likelihood, going to actually WIN the national title, not just give it lip service like your bunch does.
Oh, and last time I looked, our defense was still in the top ten in the country, and we're proud of it. You have absolutely NO ROOM whatsoever to talk smack about our defense after your precious Cardinals couldn't even manage to score ANY POINTS against us. Heck, one of our LINEMAN outgained your entire starting backfield on one run, and not only that, but he scored all the points we would need on the same bleetin' play. And here you come tryin' to cop some kind of attitude like you all have done something. It figures.
Oh, and show me where any UK fan has ever said or even implied that UK is a top five team. You can't, so you can give that a rest right now.
As far as your bowl prediction, you keep right on thinkin' that. That's lame, too. Even if UK does end up in the Liberty Bowl, which they WON'T, it'll be one more bowl than Louisville goes to this season. Unless by some miracle you can manage one more victory, and the odds of that are looking worse each week.
I'm done.....

Remember this comment! :shrug1:
It won't be hard, Lighthouse. They're just starting to recycle the same old stuff they always fall back on when they can't think of anything else, and then try to cover it up by accusing us of doing it. Reminds me of arguments grade school kids get into. When they can't think of anything else they usually come up with something like, "So what? My daddy works second shift and yours doesn't", or some nonsense like that. :icon_mrgreen:
It usually comes down to two basic comments with them. It's either (A) When was the last time you went to the (Fill in the blank) bowl? or (B) they make some kind of insinuation that UK cheats, which they've already started to do on another thread.
But see, now they're gonna get upset because I even mentioned them doing it, which goes back to the Cardinal Double Standard. If they do it or their team does it, it's perectly acceptable. If we Cat fans do it, they usually belittle it or find fault in it in some form or fashion.
This thread is starting to be a HUGE bore to me. You Cards fans can respond or you can ignore what I've said. Makes no difference to me. I've said all I'm going to on this topic.
I'll be back when there's something work talking about.
It's so funny reading these threads, one UL fan post that they get bombarded. Of course it is a UK fan board so they have to expect it.
Some pretty funny stuff that was posted early in the thread.
And one thing I don't like about some UK fans(not anyone on here), the fact that they claim an almost win a WIN. I was talking to a fellow UK fan after the Georgia game and he was all upbeat like we had just beaten LSU again. I asked him what he was so happy about and he say's these exact words...
"UK only lost to Georgia by 4 points, it's good to be a UK fan" I then stuck my palm in my face and walked away.
No matter what sport, what team, an almost win is exactly what it seems like, an L in the column losses column.
Now continue bickering and comparing stats, it never gets old fellas!!!
