Scotty had 17 points in the Vols 114-75 win over UTC . He had some unbelivable dunks and a nice outside shot. You can tell he will make a great NBA player. By the way Bobby Maze had 12 points and 10 assists. The Vols will restore the glory for the SEC!

Who?????????????????
Scotty hopson, the guy who finished 2nd to Mr. Kentucky Basketball winner Darius Miller. I seen one dunk he had, pretty nice considering there wasn't a single defender near him..

Are you kidding, Hopson jumped over him. I'm going to enjoy watching him this year, because He will go pro next year.

Though Hopson finished second to Miller as the Ky. player of the year, most recruiting sites had him listed above Miller. I believe Hopson is viewed as athletically more gifted. That being said, going "one and done" isn't easy or common and I sure would not harp and hope one of my players would do so.
Unless the player is of Michael Jordan or LeBron James skill level, I would prefer a player who stays longer and contributes more. It is hard for any freshman that is not a big man to dominate in the NCAA tourney.

Unless his attitude changes big time, you'll want him to go pro after this year. :icon_neutral:

Why is it that only UK fans say that Hopson has an attitude problem. Bruce has not said anything negative about Hopson. The Attitude problem" came up after he announced he was going to UT.

No it was there before he announced he was going to UT just the upside of his offense sort of quieted the attitude talk. He was the most athletically gifted player in Kentucky but the big knock on him was he took plays off especially on defense. But guys in Knoxville don't worry about playing defense anyway so he should fit in just well down there.

Miller got Mr. Basketball because he chose UK. Not saying he isn't good, but we all know how the "Good Ol Boy" network runs in this state.
You can have either, but I'll keep Samardo Samuels.

Miller was voted Kentucky Mr Basketball because he got the most votes.....had nothing to do with where he went to college......:icon_rolleyes:

For one year.
Cards should have fun replacing him, Clark, and T-thug.

I say it because I personally saw it. He played several games in the King of the Bluegrass tournament, and it was very obvious in every game but one.

Do you actually think Patterson is going to stay four years?
Well, I guess if he plays like he did the other night, it's a possibility.

Samuels with be there for more than one year for sure. Once he hits the Big East play he will be shown but it takes to get into the NBA and while he is talented he needs to improve his game to take it to the next level. Man handling Divison 2 and NAIA teams proves nothing except he can take advantage of smaller players.
Not anywhere on this site have I said that Patterson will stay four years, actually I think he'll leave this year if he has a solid year.
And surveyor, I attend school at the University of Louisville, it's not so much he's a thug, it's his thug like tendencies. I'm not blowing smoke, but from a man-to man stand point, I don't think much of him.

Why, because he has tats? Because he hasn't done one thing since he has been here to earn the "Thug" label. Matter of fact, he is probably one of the most cordial and friendly players I have seen at UofL off the court.
Lighthouse, you're going to judge a person by one or two games you saw him in? If that were the case, if I had only seen UK's last two games, I'd swear Meeks cares about nothing but his own shot.
No, because of the "I'm bigger than the program" mindset he has on campus. I see him around his friends, around the people that build him up to be what he isn't. I've seen him deny autographs, use his status to get by with stuff. Also, when he went after Bradley last year after a semi-hard foul on Padgett, clearly after Bradley was trying to help Padgett up,
Of course I'm sure every college kid who plays a big time role on a team uses their status to get by with stuff, but I've attended two parties with a couple UL players(after USF Win) and some of their actions I feel were not appropriate for players of their type.

You know exactly what I'm talking about as far as Hopson goes, so don't try to make something else out of it. If you had been at the games, you would've seen the same thing I and everyone at Fairdale saw. Your comparison to Meeks is very weak. :thumbdn:

Williams is a thug?

Funny story on Williams: A few years ago at the Derby Festival game, the crowd starts buzzing so I look around and in walks Taquan Dean, sporting jeans, sneakers, and a UL jersey. Following him is Terrance "Huggy Bear" Williams, sporting bell-bottomed pants, faux mink coat, faux mink top hat and a cane. He had it all but the goldfish in his shoes. I haven't cared for the guy since.
