Has anyone been to Barbados? Might be going with just the wife. Suggestions?

In March my wife and I may be going to Barbados and I'm curious what you folks know of this island. Saint Lucia is another possible option.

I've been to both. Great little islands. Head to the beach, get out on the water, or go shopping. Not much else to do unless you go during Carnival. I'll get you a list of places I liked alittle later.

Stopped for a day on a cruise 20+ years ago. Had a nice feel & look to it and wasn't as poor as most. But, not much nite life or shopping apparent. Felt I'd have been bored after about 3 daze. I recall the Carib & south sides being calm, warm waters with the east being rough (but pretty).

Stopped at both early this year on a cruise. Beautiful Islands, but other than the beach and shopping, not much else to see.

We went a few years ago and it was about the same. We did take a submarine ride and toured some of the reefs which was neat.

We also toured the Malibu Rum factory. Free samples on a beach when you are done.
