National TV audience and your supposed biggest big east rival West Virginia and the stadium is more than half empty. With these hard economic times what a moronic move to even consider stadium expansion. One more year of Kragthorpe and you will be back to giving tickets away at convenience stores. LMAO!

From the Official site:
With its record eighth home game this season, the Cardinals set a season total attendance record of 317,442. U of L averaged 39,680 fans this season with every game a sellout.
If ticket sales ever did really fall off, all we would have to do is lower the price and sell them as cheap as Uk tickets are.

You might sell or give the tickets away, but that doesn't mean the stadium was full. I'd say 30,000 at the most. Pitiful!

Excuse me, but are we supposed to be impressed or something?
Number one, unlike Louisville, UK doesn't have to offer cheapo tickets at Kroger to help them sell out Commonwealth.
Number two, your precious average attendance is at least 10,000 LESS than the average attendance for UK football games.
Gee, we're underwhelmed. :icon_rolleyes:

Just because the tickets sold out doesn't mean they were used.

You should really tell your fans to lower their invisibility shields once they enter the stadium then.

It wasn't even THAT many. :) The paper called it an "announced" crowd of 34,000+. My best friend has season tickets. He said it was likely closer to half or a bit over half full. Perhaps 25k or so.

I know. That's why I said the CJ framed it "announced" crowd...........
Typically when they do that there's question regarding the actual numbers.
They did similarly during Brooks' second and third season when it was apparent the numbers provided didn't match what was observed.

Nothing new for Jurich. They have made up attendance figures since the football team has played in that cute little personal sized pan pizza pit. Even the LilBro fans know they are wild exaggerations. They stopped arguing that point long ago.
