UNC is closing in on UK's all time basketball win record. Come tournament time, if UNC is within 6 wins of Uk would you rather:
a) get a NCAA bid and risk a first round loss or
b) take a NIT bid knowing you can pile up at least a few victories in that tournament.
So which would be more important; UK's all time win record or this year's tournament?

I'm not really worried about all time victories.
I want this team to come together. I want them to become a team.
I am not interested in the NIT.
What does the all time victories get you? A little publicity? If we lose it, we will get it back.
Tough problem to have.

Both are important and we won't have to worry about it anyway since they are 8 wins behind us and I doubt that we will lose 8 more before tourney time.
They've played a ton more games considering their record. They could become the winningest program of all time, I could care less. We have more championships, Conference championships, Tournament bids, Final fours, NBA players.
I'd love to stay the winningest program in the nation, I'd be tickled. I'd rather see us int he NCAA Tournament hopefully ruining UNC"s season.
Or UL's.

Read my post CH. It said if they are within 6. IF UNC wins the NCAA that is howmany wins they pick up in the tourney. I would bet big money UNC picks up at least two more wins then UK this season before tourney time.

I would contract a nefarious network of mechanics to disable all their transportation options that would lead to a series of morale crushing forfeiting of games which would give rise to massive UNC campus riots, the burning of Chapel Hill and an inevitable shut down of the program for the public safety.
If I couldn't pull that off I'd just pull for the NCAA bid.

Let's see, 2 to Florida, 2 to UT, 1 at Vandy, 1 to UL, There's 6 losses for sure. Hopefully no more "VMI" games. It will be close.

UK will not lose two to UT or UF this year. UK will get one of those game bet on it.

Sorry I didn't see that part. I wasn't being a jerk about it anyway just stating what I thought. If they are within six I say you go to the NCAA anyway because you never know what is going to happen there. UK didn't do so hot last year but any team can get hot and we still almost knocked off Marquette without Pat Pat or Meeks.
