Thanks for this link, too, Caveman. I particularly like what I am reading about Myron Pryor.

I agree. Myron is sounding like a train.

Also, of interest:

There was a major shakeup at the quarterback spot this morning, as Curtis Pulley took snaps with the first-team offense while returning starter Andre Woodson was relegated to the second unit. UK coach Rich Brooks said the move was not necessarily permanent and insisted that the quarterback spot is just one of several positions that could flip-flop throughout the course of the spring.

Chip has updated his blog with info from yesterday's practice. Turituri suited up, as did Williams at CB.

That's good news. Too, thanks for the information about the update, Caveman. I now know to check the link every few days. :)

Thats just great, I'll get to watch yet another year of UK football with an athletic nonquarterback running our offense into the ground. It's like a recurring nightmare you just can't escape.

Good comments about Smith, Pulley, Bogue and Logan for practice on the 13th.

Yes, those were good to read. Too, I noticed Logan had beaten David Jones, who is known for his speed, which I liked. Of course, then again,we already knew Logan had the speed. From reading the Cosby article yesterday, though, I'm really hoping Logan is finally putting everything together andhave a positiveimpact on the field this season.

I am getting more concerned about McCutchan's chances for being eligible. Yes, I'm a worry-wart by nature. However, UK had expected something BEFORE spring practice began. It seems logical to me that he may have been denied eligibility, and UK is appealing. I am certainly hoping that my fears in that regard are totally unfounded.

We don't yet have a report from anyone from WCN, so I'm really glad Cosby at least covers the highlights of the practices. I would have been disappointed if I had been able to read nothing about yesterday's practice.

Logan didn't just beat Jones on the pass - it was good coverage and the ball was a bit underthrown - he OUTFOUGHT Jones for the ball and that was huge in my estimation.

The fact that we moved Trai Williams to Center after the 3rd spring practice should tell you what the coaches are thinking. If McCutchan comes back fine, but they're not going to get caught with their pants down and have to start the season with a RSFr at Center if things go bad for Cutch.

I went Wednesday and I've just been covered up with work since and unable to put down my thoughts but suffice it to say that we are progressing nicely and the O is starting to crease the D more than they were as more of our offense is installed.

If you have any specific questions I'd be happy to reply.

I heard on LEX18 the other day that the person in charge of determining McCuthan's eligibility had died and a new person has been assigned to the case. They stated this was the reason a decision has not been made concerning a sixth year of eligibility.

In his Friday notes, Cosby shares that Ricky Abren returned from an injury to record a pair of tackles for losses. FWIW, I happen to look forward to seeing what both Pryor and Abren do on the defensive line this season. If our defensive ends come around (Durrell White, Oninku, and Dominic Lewis, in particular), the defensive line may be a strength this season.

He updated it again.Doesn't sound like it was a happy day.

The Wildcats had perhaps their worst practice of the spring to date, as things got so bad that Rich Brooks stopped the workout 30 minutes early and put the team through a vigorous series of wind sprints as punishment. Brooks said the team lacked energy and focus.

"We're not good enough to just waste practice days," Brooks said. "We've only got 15 of them. I just didn't see anything productive going on out there."

I can't believe these guys would just waste a practice like that.:X Let 'em run wind sprints 'til they throw up and get serious about playing SEC calibre football. :thumbdown

Brooks said the team lacked energy and focus.
Come on Coach, that was last years battle cry. How can you lack focus and energy in Spring??? With a dozen plus positions open, if not more, your saying your players are not fighting for PT.

I'm sending this one back to the top in case some fans may not realize they can open Cosby's link, kindly provided by Caveman Catfan, and read updates onanyUK practice since their last visitto the site.

R&B, thankfully, it was only ONE day that the players showeda lack of energy andenthusiam. I' suspect that occurs with most teams during the spring. Regardless, I'm glad Coach Brooks got on their case and made them run sprints!

Yesterday's practice report has some good news. Burton returned to practice (although without contact, and he will be held out of the game as a precautionary measure), and a still limited Marcus McClinton and Tony Dixon, whoh returned after hisrecent injury, both shined.
