I've been stuck in New England due to winter weather. I just told myself to be thankful I wasn't stuck in Detroit or Pittsburgh.

4 or 5 years ago I was in Flint, MI for work the week of Thanksgiving. Snowed in. Spent Thanksgiving at the Flint Holiday Inn. Don't know how many of you have been to Flint but if it ain't the end of the Earth you can sure see it from there. Never in my life been to such a depressing town and to be stuck was miserable.

Don't know what any of the rest of KY was like, but yesterday from about 2-9p in NKy the roads were impassable with a coating of ice. Wrecks everywhere. Bridges to/from OH & IN shut. Everything just stopped till it warmed up & the rain melted the ice. People were stuck 5 & 6 hours in their cars. I'm glad a) I took yesterday off or I'd have been in the middle of that, and b) it's not today.

Having spend half of my winters in both Kentucky and Colorado (front range) the Colorado winters are easier to take. The amount of sunshine helps keep the winter blues away and now that I can see almost all The Wildcat games it works for me.
