Since we are coming to the end of the year once again, I would just like to thank you for running a great board. I have been accused often of "hanging out on an opponent's board" and am in fact quite guilty of this. No other board I have found is as even handed and fair as this one, and I get tired of the "party line" on other unnamed sites.

I love the fact I can venture over here, trade some barbs (and sometimes some real analysis), and at the end of the day still have some respect for other posters. Other boards are entirely too one sided and police the opposition without policing their own fans. This board has consistently dealt with the bad apples very evenhandedly.

The big rivalry game will be coming up soon and I am sure tempers will flail. We all love our basketball teams too much to expect otherwise. I realize there is always a certain percentage of the fans who want to eliminate this board and hope it doesn't get out of hand.

Great post and you're dead on.

I love the respectful jabs at one another teams(well, some aren't exactly respectul) but you get my point. If you go to TCP or insidetheville, you'll get plenty of downright wrong posts. After the IU game, a couple of the IU boards made some remarks about the late Mr. Keightley that made me hate the IU Fanbase. While every fanbase has our crazy and immature fans, I can expect to come here and get a good reality check on my team, and discuss basketball/football.

Excellent post, Yule. You and 4thecards are good people and it's fun to trade jabs with you both. I think both sides are guilty from "pushing the envelope" a bit from time to time, but we've proven time and again we all know when to draw the line. Thanks for making our rivalry a bit more entertaining. Merry Christmas to both of you. :thumbup:

I agree with yule. If you have the slightest inkling that this board is bad. I ask you to venture to one of the others. This is the only "smack board" I visit.

Yule, 4, vols and R Best: you should wander into the football forum from time to time for some good discussion. Personally, I really enjoy it when fans from other teams join us there and give a different perspective on things.

Thanks for the offer JPS. I have always refrained from posting on the main boards very much. Unfortunately, right now it is very difficult for me to talk football. Ul football to me right now is like having a sister you love very much working at a strip club. She is still you sister and you still love her, you just do not want to talk about what she is doing for a living.

I liken it to watching someone else with your wife...not something I am going to pay to watch.

I don't really go to the other boards. I think my name alone would generate too much negativity. I've posted once or twice on the general discussion board.

Guys, I understand your relunctance to posting on the other boards, but you really are welcome to come to the general and the travel etc boards. Many good threads and topics that I would like to see your inputs.

Please visit the Officials forum and get in on the discussion of the rules. It's a good place for all fans to learn why, how, and when the officials should and do apply the rules of Basketball.

I can sympathize with how you feel about UL football right now. But if I could make it through the Curry years, you guys will be OK.

One of the things I enjoy a lot in the football forum is when talk ranges to the Big XII, Pac 10, other SEC teams, etc. If that would interest you, jump in. The more the merrier.
