Does it at all concern you that Samuels gets blocked so much. Seriously I have watched the last two games a lot and he gets blocked more by smaller players than any big man I have seen in awhile. He got blocked or had his shot changed and missed four or five shots their last game and today I have seen the same thing. Really the kid has a lot of talent without a doubt but you have got to go up strong against any college player or you are going to get blocked.

Well im here as usual to take my lumps from the bigbluefaithful. Normally I dont get that upset when we lose because your just going to lose from time to time.....but this loss tickes me off. UL is a better team the MINN but they got outplayed and outhustled and im sick of it. If SS and ES cant play any better then sit their a$$e$ on the bench. So to answer your question yes it concearns me when SS keeps getting outmuscled against smaller players. I mean whats he gonna do when the rugged Big East schedule starts? I still think we are going to be a great team and beat UK but not if we keep just lolligagging it against inferior teams.

I caught a little bit of the post game and it sounds like Pitino has had enough of some things and is looking to make a lineup change. He's expecting more out of his veteran players and he's not getting it. (His words, not mine..)

Well I posted this at the beginning of the game after I saw him get blocked the first time so I didn't know what the outcome of this particular game was going to be. Minn is defintely not talent wise a better team that UL but UL definately got outhuslted and outplayed which usually will mean a loss. ES is certainly a big reason why you guys lost. He doesn't play with any heart and looks like he really doesn't care to win or lose. I am sure that is not the case but it seemed like that a few times today he was more worried about making himself look good than anything else.

I was just posting the question because it was concerning to me a guy with that much talent getting blocked by much smaller guys. Pat Pat has a touch of this as well. I think these guys come in and think they can just phone it in and dominat with size and strength like they did much of high school. Then they figure out in their second season that there are bigger, stronger, and faster guys that won't allow that to happen in college.

In answer to your question, not at all. Samuels is a beast, but he is just learning the college game. At first, he would not rebound. In 6 games he has changed that. Now, he is getting his shot blocked. I am willing to bet within 6 more games he will have added some fakes to his arsenal.

He needs to learn how to pass out of double teams and tight situations. There were a couple of times where he didn't have a shot or a good look and still took it up strong. He doesn't realize that he'll be playing against guys that won't get out hustled or muscled down low. The help side defense gets him in trouble and you can definitely expect UK to bring a lot of help side D.

He'll be a great player, I feel right now that it'll be a huge mistake to leave for the NBA after this year.

Patterson is better just because he has a year of experience but I am really looking forward to that matchup
