Without knowing that the game was televised, I just happened on the UK-UF game tonight and got to watch it until it was finally rained out with UK ahead 7-5---after Fla scored 4 and then UK came back and scored 5 in that last inning.
Since this was the first time I've seen the Batcats it was tough that the game was stopped because of rain---after about a 40 minute delay. I don't follow college baseball that closely and was surprised that the game didn't go to UK since it was the 7th inning and they were still at bat with a 2 run lead. The game will be finished tomorrow just before tomorrow's game is scheduled. I was not aware of this difference in the college rule from professional baseball.
Florida started very strong but their record is now down to 19-14. I'm sure UK would be well up there in the ranking if they'd cleaned house with lowly Auburn last week. It was a thrill at least to see even a part of a game---I love 5-run innings when it's us doing the 5 runs. UK was assisted by a strong homer just before the rains came--the TV announcer said it was still rising when it went over the right field fence. :thumbup
