Who has the better overall football program right now? I would assert that both programs are pretty much on par with eachother until recently. Now I think one has stepped forward and the other has taken a couple steps back.
So your honest opinon...who has the better football program now? Louisville or Cincinnati.
If you thought for a second I was talking about us...pishaw....we are clearly above these two mid-majors.

like Louisville, still has to prove they are not just a flash in the pan. Virg Tech beat both the Cards and Bearcats in the Orange Bowl, now we'll see if Cinn coach leaves for greener pastures and the Bearcats fall the way of the Cardinals. Meanwhile things in Big Blue Nation are looking up for next season. I think 2009 might be the year we take down both the Gators and Vols in Commonwealth!!

I think we do....LOL
Cinn for sure they went to a bowl and they beat Loserville
Loserville has a long way to go..this coach can do it he just has to clean up Petrinos mess

Even, IMO.
Before this year UL had beaten UC 5 straight, I think.
In that 8 member conference those two teams can easily change positions in one off season.
I would not be surprised to see UL beat UC in 2009 and finish ahead of them in the conference. Same for 2010.

:shrug1:WITH ALL THIS HOLIDAY HYPERBOLE I KINDA LOST TRACK OF WHERE LOUISVILLES RECRUIT SITUATION WAS........but if it hadn't improved greatly from my last check then they are depending on a lot of players that didn't impress me this year....Plus they lost their supposed defensive "savior" English.............
Cinncinnati seemingly had their program on an uptick .........but hell that can change over an off-season..............(SEE LOUISVILLE )
I DEW BELIEVE WE BE HEADIN IN THE RITE DIRECTION WITH 7 HOME GAMES NEXT YEAR TA BOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:widcat:

Outside the state of Kentucky, Uk football is still pretty much unknown. Don't kid yourself.
As for the Cincy joke; hah, hah.

Don't kid YOURself. That's bull and you know it and I'm not going to waste my time debating you on it. Except to say you have a lot of nerve posting something like that after the last two seasons you guys have had. The Cards don't even make a blip on the radar screen outside of Jefferson County.

UofL and Cincy both have something UK can't claim. Both have played in a BCS bowl. What's it like watching every team in your region do something your's can only dream about?
That's UL's only defense now, downplay UK's achievements while living up their past. Why can't you accept that "the next powerhouse" is the 2nd best(maybe 3rd) in the state.

That's true. They both have all-time losing records vs. UK. UK can't claim that.

Do you really think anyone out in Florida or California or Mich or Texas thinks that your conferences automatic birth in one of 8 slots means anything? If you are constantly going to be in the 7/8 game of 8 games...who really cares? WHo will remember the least viewed BCS bowl of all time?
Name for us the Elite 8 for any given year. If you think that is something that floats your sinking ship...you better get it floating pretty quickly before nothing is left.
