It is amazing that we hardly talk about a 31 point night by Jodie--it has just become the norm.

What Jodie is doing is absolutely spectacular and we need to enjoy it while we have it.

It's not becoming the norm for me. I cherish everyone of these performances. The guy is playing out of his mind right now.

It's even more amazing how we take Patterson for granted.
"What??? Only 16 and 10??? What's wrong with him, lol..."-----me sometimes :icon_mrgreen:

You're right. It's nuts. I am SHOCKED when he misses a 3 at this stage, and even more dumbfounded when he misses a foul shot. What a player.

congrats to Jodie
a few more games like the past 3 and he will move on up to the number 1 spot
if he does not get SEC player of the year then something is Wrong

The SEC season is only 25% done; however, I doubt anyone views any other SEC player as the POY at this point. P^2 is the most likely second choice on everyone's mind right now.

I turned to my friend last night and I actually had to ask him:
"Did Jodie just miss that three?"
I almost couldn't believe it. Its so normal to watch him hit big shot after big shot.

I typically call out "Threeeeee!" when the Cats drain one. I find myself not waiting for the shot to reach the basket when Jodie shoots...I offer the cheer once he rises to fire from behind the arc.

It's still early in SEC play but he has to be far and away number one right now. I don't think anyone else is even close.
Jodie has a 6 pts/game lead over the #2 scorer which is Downey from USC. Calathes may prove to be Jodie's toughest competiton for SEC POY. PPat should also be considered in the discussion. He is currently 5th in scoring, 2nd in rebounds, and 4th in blocks.
