Pat Summitt called from Tennessee more than once.

Nearly every coach from every big-name program called more than once.

Arnika Brown just wanted the ringing to stop. She wanted to make a decision.

"It was starting to get real hectic," the Christian County senior said yesterday. "If I'd left the door open, coaches would have started attacking."

Brown's mother told her to take her time, to maybe look at schools in other parts of the country, but the 6-foot-2 swing player already knew where she wanted to go.

This is a great get for DeMoss as she tries to build the program at UK.

This is great news. Where does this currently class rank? Any other recruits coming?

They've got a total of three verbals for this class - Arnika Brown, Lydia Watkins and Brittany Edelen. Arnika is the highest rated player nationally. Lydia and Brittany get tremendous press locally, but the state or national recognition that Arnika has gotten. They haven't done rankings for this class yet (for college recruiting), but since it is a smaller class, I would probably be surprised if it's top 20 though it is definitely a very solid class for UK. Brittany and Lydia have tremendous potential and upside.

being a grad from Christian County High school over the last few years i been able to see Arnika Brown and Lydia Watkins play from Christian County and Brown probly the best high school girl i ever watched play the game. Those two will be a great pair for Demoss.
